I want to know what is better for training up a brand new pet for 1p battledome. Lab ray or Dubloon/Codestone training? Also any specific species to use? I have almost 5 million in my bank and make about 20-30k a day on average.
using the lab ray is definitely worth it in the long run. Only train defense and level at the dubloon academy and if you're in a rush supplement with some scratchcards (currently broken?).
Species? doesn't really matter, probably pick grarrl for their higher stat start. because the lab ray will change your species anyways
The Lab Ray's effectiveness depends on how much the net stat gain would cost you. In other words: the stronger your Pet, the better the Lab. But overall the Lab gives you a lot of HP, some Strength, some Agility (mostly worthless), takes some Level, and takes some Defense.
At the very beginning, Lupes are the best Pet for the sake of
Ancient Lupe Wand. Later on Kacheek, Elephante, and Gelert all become nice for the sake of healers. If your labbing, it won't really matter.

At that budget and income, you're probably going to want to go with a Lenny - since they are the only species to have a species freezer and a species healer.
