Fire Whip has become a very popular strategy against him (using it until it hits his Ghostkersword, after which only his Ghostkerbomb is a threat).

and randomly disables a random weapon, so it has a low chance to hit his ghostkersword. look it up on the idb main site for the info
It's Semi-Fragile. That means that it
can break for the
battle, but it will be useable again in your next fight. It has an approximate 15% chance of disabling an opponent's weapon, and a 1/8 chance of hitting Ghostkersword (resulting in an ~2% chance overall of hitting the Ghostkersword on a given use). If you're then able to Burrow/Sink into Ghostkerbomb, you will win the fight as long as you have a weapon that deals damage.
I can't recall off-hand whether
Prickly Potions or a 50% Air reflector is the next best strategy. Most people nowadays are resorting to Fire Whip to beat the Giant Kleenex of Doom.
