A lot of the BD weapons that have come out recently (ie: sloth plot, Daily Dare) have air icons. It's weird that they decided to mass supply us with air weapons. I doubt that any but the Ylanas Baster will be used though.

Maybe because TNT saw that there weren't enough air type icons?

I wouldn't really call it mass-supply. Ylanas Blaster only has 2, Math Slingshot sucks, and Tyrannian Army Math Tools are crippled by cost and Light.

The main reason, though, is that Air is the only icon that isn't hit at the lower levels. Most "good" low to mid-level weapons need Air in them nowadays to compete.
