I am back after a long vacation. I hope everyone is doing well (and I'm sure I am left behind at level 55 ).

Mike, I hope the server does stay. I have been wanting to play MS with IDBers for a long time now, but I can't because I am all alone in Broa.

Thank you for all your hardwork keeping the server online though.

EDIT: I cannot get my private server to run. I have downloaded the manual patched, used it in my MS folder, and also downloaded the new local host and replaced the old one as well. It still shows the "unable to connect to maple story" even though I was able to run GMS just fine. Anything I am doing wrong?

Nothing you are doing wrong, it goes down sometimes and most of the time I can't post here to warn everyone. A good indication is if I am disconnected from IRC. It's back up now.

Yeah, a good way to tell, like Mike said, is check IRC. If Mike isn't on, then most likely that's the reason his server isn't working. Just check back occassionally and it should be working again!

What's IRC by the way? Sounds n00bish but I seriously don't know .

Umm...What happened to my characters? o.0 They disappeared into thin air!

It happened to me once, but I relogged in and they reappeared. Try it, it might work.

now it's telling me that i'm "not a registered ID" about 95% of the times I try to log in. The one time I did get through, all my characters had disappeared :/.
