Several people have wasted their 20k plot points on them, I almost did (until I did my research) there is a warning on the plot board also saying not to buy them.
I think it was a horrible thing to do on TNT's part especially since they have the robot thingy for twice as much they have to know it isn't worth 20k points
The Buzzler seems to be an intentional point trap to me. Since the prizes have low point costs, something like this seems a good idea to me. A little mean, but it helps the rest of the prizes to have better values.
I still don't see why just having fair point costs wasn't just used, though.
Maybe I'm wrong, and TNT really is that dumb.

I don't like the best prize though because I have no interest in a robot pet, plus, it's not tradable.
Maybe I'll wait for a few more days...
They shouldn't have made it non-tradable, I don't see the point in that.
i got suckered and bought a buzzler, then followed it up by pricing a blaster in my shop for 1 np.
not my finest hour

Given the way points were counted, there would have been too many available. In my opinion, it's one of the better prize concepts, since it gives a legitimate award only to people that actually put effort into the plot.
so...um..i was wondering is it advisable to get Ylanas Blaster?
I love the robot zapper. Genius Idea on TNT's part IMO.
Potentially removes tons of available plot points from the system and guarantees those users who eventually want a Robot Pet (like I do) when they want it.
Until now I was crossing my fingers and wishing on a hope and a prayer for a lucky zap.
Ylanas Blaster will not maintain a 800K+ price guys. No way. Waaayyy too many plot points available for that to happen. Prizes have only been available for 6 hours and already there are TONS on the market. I would venture to say that not even 20% of users have redeemed their points.
The nps required to hoarde up enough of the Blaster to keep it in the millions price range is staggering. The vast majority of players don't have that kind of patience. It might initially spike up, but it will drop. Users will get bored and want their nps back and the supply/demand and undercutting each other will cause the price to drop.
I think people are underestimating how many people actually want to use the blasters, and how much patience hoarders have. I expect them to settle around the current price of the 11-icon TCG blasters (as long as no more cheap 12/13-iconers are released, anyway). I don't expect that to happen in the next few months or anything, but... a lot of investors are patient and not stupid enough to sell for less than they paid.

It'll easily maintain its 800K price, and the only thing I'm left to wonder is how quickly or how long it'll take the price to spike upwards. I'd wager more than 20% of the users have redeemed their prize, but that's a moot point. One wealthy user on the BD Chat has already claimed to have stockpiled 75 of them (which I don't doubt), and that's definitely a large dent.
The price will be maintained because hoarders maintain the price of their investments. They continue pouring in more money, and there are enough wealthy users on the site to do so. Another thing: these users don't get bored. If they did, we'd see price drops on various items and weapons, and the only times we ever do are when TNT Tarlas them or somesuch. In order to sustain the price, these users just have to outlive the supply, and so far they've not only eaten up the current supply but also increased its price. Hoarders also understand the silent agreement that they're not going to undercut each other vocally.
