With a limited supply of the blaster going into the market, I suspect over time, it will fall in line with other weapons of it's approximate strength. I remember how upset everyone was over the Ring of the Lost. I kept mine, and while they were plentiful for a while, it's much harder, and more expensive to get a hold of now.
Does anyone know when the price jumped from about 5mil on RotL? I just checked the trading post and people are wanting SoS+ for them now o.O

Roundabout September of last year, people started making "Beat 6.x on RotL" threads, claiming to have rejected offers of 6m. Things just went haywire from there.
meh...some people are just killing the fun in neopets by hiking up the prices on some of the plot prizes. Doesn't surprise me that they are making the price for rotl go for really more than what it really is worth. Still it is a very nice dual duty weapon but the way things are going...could be possible to see them as gallery items only...have no doubt in my mind that TNT will play a hand in that.
I got just a little over 50,000 plot points. I'm trying to decide whether I should buy two YB's and sell one, or whether I should buy one YB for myself and spend the rest on books. Which do you guys think will appreciate more?
(Edited for a couple of clarifications: I don't mind waiting a few months to recoup, and one of my pets is a reader so I will end up buying the books one way or the other.)
TNT hates me... TNT always rewards the people who spend hours on those mods. I hate plots now. The good news is I get cheap 13 iconers (I even thought about getting double Wand of Realitys) so I saved about 6 mil on that... the bad news is that I got two 11-iconer fungus rays that are going to plummet in price.
I'm actually glad TNT released these blasters, i did not participate in this plot much only got 7,000 points, but now those blasters are out, BoD are probably going to go for around 2.5 mil (I hope) and then I'll just buy two of them.
I dont like the icons of the blaster either, its almost identical to a GEB
Plus it doesnt even look that great, and all my weapons are based on how cool it is
By the way if BoD does get to 2.5 mil or even lower, can someone please private mail me, im not allow to play now, but if they go for that low, i'll do anything to get them

Buy the books and the blaster out of your pocket and save your war points. For real, you might want a robot pet, or there could be a surprise item that'll net you large amounts of cash because everyone picked the blaster.
It's risky, the Blaster could go up like most of us are expecting and the it'll be the better investment, or a downgrade could happen, or the market could crumble under the weight of the supply. No matter what you still have your points though.
Don't listen to me however. I've already flipped my blasters for a very nice profit plus I have one left over which cost me nothing (and I didn't have enough points to get one for free that way). Now that I'm down to one and thinking about reinvesting and going at it again I'm starting to shy away. I took a risk and bought a bunch and it's already paid off, don't wanna push my luck. I wasn't meaning to sell but an offer came along I couldn't refuse.
That's the big problem, lots of people bought at 400k-600k and are going to try to flip them for 700k-900k and it'll flood the market. I've already seen fellow buyers of the item switch to sellers after buying a bunch.
I got a crazy good offer, crazy crazy good, so good I checked their account before accepting to make sure it wasn't some side that could get me chain frozen due to our exchange of items. 41 months with trophies and what-not though, so all clear. =)
If my rant didn't give it away, the wisest thing you can do is save your points.

I was planning on eventually buying a wand of reality or a bow of destiny but now that the blasters are out, it's like a dream come true. I might actually get 2. Honestly, I don't see them downgrading them. TNT knew how many icons it did when they offered it as a prize. They probably also had a rough idea of how many people had enough points to get them. Since the battledome wasn't created yesterday, I doubt we'll see a downgrade. But nothing is for sure.
Question: Does anyone have pictures of the wearables on their pet? I like the Miniature Gorix Spaceship but does it move or just sit there? Also, what's so great about the robot petpet? It's just a petpet right?

The spaceship should just sit there (I'm pretty sure only NC Mall items are animated). And the Petpet is a pointdrain: it costs 10K on the SW.

Actually for some idiotic reason, Buzzler has shot up to 65-70K right now. I don't get this one bit. I've had several over the last few months and it was a slow mover even when it was 6-8K. It's only R88 as well. Methinks there are going to be some very dissapointed investors
