Yes stock market is good for investing, but he says he's leaving meaning he can't get online once a day to do the stockmarket.
Nan has a good start- stamps are good investments if you pick the right ones. some good choices are ring of sloth stamp, seasonal evil coconut, and maybe other retired ones. you'll have to do your own research here.
Another safe and good investment is medicine. If you plan to come back maybe once every 3-6 months, you can check if your medicne got WOEd, which could give you a approx 20x payback. I got a few thousand herbal scrambled eggs at 300 adn now they're 6k. not too bad a profit in the long run.

yeah some of the stamps have doubled or tripled in value...like the seasonal and y5, ring of sloth etc. I think medicine are a pretty good gamble if you got the time to buy lots, otherwise, consider retired stamps
Ring of the Lost or Yooyuball Players Sling are your obvious choices for that budget.
I don't expect either to spike drastically, but as both are useful retired BD weapons that are very unlikely to become obsolete with icon inflation, they should be safe.
Personally, I have been stockpiling Altador Cup Fan Jerseys on a hunch that the prices may spike during this years AC, but that's a bit risky and probably requires a more active neo-presence.
Also, if you have LOTs of time, invest some millions in PCC/SoS. They will most likely eventually retire.

That's called speculation and not really investment
The chances of PCC/SoS inflating are unknown, I'd say close to 0%, but since it's all speculation, it's probably a bad investment. HT prices block these from going up in price, so you won't even be participating in the natural inflation in neopets.
If you're going to inject money into a weapon, rabid has made 2 great suggestions. In fact, I agree with him so much I've got myself a RoTL and YPS for hibernation
I wouldn't bother putting money into PCC/SoS. Even if they did retire, there are so many out in circulation you won't see *that* much price increase.

I had extras left over from year 1 (I own an altador gallery) and they sold very nicely around a year later.
You guys think that RoTL and YPS will keep going up as they have? From what I can recall both weapons have proven to be very nice investments if you snagged them early. But prices are relatively high now, no?
I think price is relatively high yeah. As time goes on, YPS and RoTL will go up in price but also go up in HTS-ness. So maybe if you wnat to get them you're a bit late in the game. I don't mind keeping them as collectibles though.
Nan, I think currenlty recent event prizes have the best chance of inflation.
I would get some Ylana's Blasters, but there's such potential for a downgrade, and I'd rather not lose several million.
I'll look into some stamps for now.
I probably don't have many reliable options right now, though. Lets hope we get some good things for AC III prizes. Stamps and BD items, if they're good.
As far as AC goes, Stamps have always been solid investments. Yooyu Celebration Stamp is the most value-for-points prize for ACII, if I'm not mistaken.
