Well it still might be a rumor or it coube confirmed, it turns out a Halo 4 is coming. To tell you the truth im not as hype to get this one as I was for Halo 3, halo 3 was a bit disappointing for me. Opinions?

I can guarantee that there will be a Halo 4.... Halo 3 broke records like crazy and in a business where a proven success beats out an original idea anyday, you can smell a sequal a mile away... Just think of The Sims, the Mario franchise, or Warcraft

They should definitely make it... the only reason not to would be that that plotwise everything is finished off... But that's a bad reason to not do it, since as far as I can tell (I only played Halo 3) the plot was pretty lame anyway. But the game itself was amazing, and it would be fantastic to see them to continue to expand and perfect the formula. If they don't there really probably won't be any other multiplayer online shooter that will be able to come as close to being as good as Halo 4 would be. From playing Halo 3, though it was awesome, there seemed to be plenty of flaws, but now that I've played a few other online games a bit, I'm realizing more how good it was. Sometimes when something's really excellent it's easier to focus on the few flaws.

I think they said something about it being and staying a trilogy. They are, however, planing on making many more Halo games; they got that Halo tactics game coming out, and that "different" Halo series planned also.

The Halo game with the best plot line was defintely Halo 1, Campaign I thought was better than multiplayer in that one

I prefer if they make a whole different plot line that is unrevelant to the first three halos, still keeping the master chief though

Actually, the plot of Halo is pretty involved. Just because you were didn't catch most of what was occuring does not mean it was lame. It is mostly building on information revealed in Halo and Halo 2, as well as the books, The Fall of Reach, and Halo: First Strike.

To add to GIR: also the story continues after three in the books, just apparently not in the game.

I was already familiar with basic details of the plot when I played Halo 3... A complex plot doesn't mean it was good. Probably would have been better if it was simpler actually... But whatever, my point was that I don't think they should let the plot stop them from making another game, good gameplay is why people play videogames.

That is true, in half the games I play I have no idea whats going on, i just try to finish my objectives and thats it, although Halo I actually tried to understand whats happening, i actually enjoyed it.

Oh Halo 4, interesting I personally like the Halo plot, despite not liking to play campaign since I found it boring to go through it all. Halo is actually probably the only multiplayer online shooter game I've played a lot D: I enjoy it though ^^

Maybe if you had your TV muted or if you skipped all of the cinematics.
