While using the Ylanas blasters, i have not had much use for the Honey potion. I still do about the same ammount of dmg with it, rather than 2 blasters. So ive been thinking about selling the h-pot but i dont have any idea what do put there instead.

My pet is labbed, so def things wont be of help Toungue Im against freezeing, its just how i am Ohmy If i sell the hp i will be willing to buy anything arround or bellow the 1m range, alittle over is fine Toungue

I was thinking p-pot, but would it realy help me at the 250 boost?

Im looking forward to your ideas. Thankyou Smile

Also, ive seen alot of people talking about league numbers arround neo. Whats with that? Have i missed something? XD Thanks again
the leagues that people are talking about is based on the league calculator at neopianwarcouncil.org....most guilds now a days are using league format when battling in wars, although some guild still do boost.

in my opinion...honey potion is best when used while your opponent is frozen, and since you dont like to freeze...I would suggest something else...what though, I am not sure about
It sure is for 2 player. 13 icons past sink is woah. Ohmy

I think you've outgrown prickly potion. At the 250 boost, one of your blasters does 70 damage. Your opponent would have to have at least the 550 strength boost for you to deal that much.

The only thing I would change in your set would be to add a mass light/dark weapon to get past burrow. At the moment you can only get 5 icons through. Replace the sparkshooter with something like a Ramtors spellbook or Staff Of Righteous Fury. Put the downsize in your first slot =)

If your pet is a lab rat, why do you have the kacheek healer? or have you finished labbing?
I think he put the sparkshooter on his first slot for reason. To repel Stealer from getting his better weapons.
Once I got Bow of Destiny and Wand of Reality as my main attackers (13 icons each) I really wasn't too excited about using the Honey Potion. It's only going to give you about 0.5 to 3.5 more icons than your dual blasters (and it's only going to do that once per battle). If you want a bomb, you could get a Rainbow Clockwork Grundo or just save up and buy an SOS Smile

The leagues are a way to divide everyone up based on Strength, Defense, and Hit Points. IDB has a league calculator now (http://idb.finalhit.org/uploads/graphite...calc.html) but I think most people refer to the NCW league calculator. You should be able to google "Neopian Council of War" to find it.

Yeah, but that's wasting a weapon slot. The downsize is probably the least important thing in 040790s set, so I think that should really in the first slot, unless he just *has* to have the downsize, or his set only has 7 real weapons Toungue

Powerwise, that's true, but I think the main reason to have a honey potion is all that earth that blasts through sink. =) I love RCG, but it's a tad out of his budget.

If I would have a something in my first slot, it would be my purble sticky hand, you can steal with it if you want and if he steals from you, he'll only get another stealer from me, wasting a turn in doing so....
Ylanas blaster put H-Pot in a sticky situation XD

But I'm thinking the same too; sell the Honey Potion and go for dual Y-Blaster and dual RSB.

Or noT? XD

Waiting for some more experienced opinions Toungue
I think if you're starting out the Honey Potion traditionally has been the big "power weapon" that you could knock someone out with that was fairly cheap. However, given Ylanas Blaster and the current pricing, I think the value of the Honey Potion is somewhat diminished. It IS more powerful, but unfortunately, for most people using the Honey Potion on a frozen opponent as their "bomb", their freezer to set it up with isn't a 100% freezer. Thus, if you don't freeze, by the time you've wasted one round with a weak offensive attack weapon (Frost Cannon, Snowglobe Staff, etc.), you'd probably been better off using the multiuse Blaster instead, as you won't get to use the Honey Potion to round three (if you make it that far). The Honey Potion does have some tactical uses, but at the moment, its once-per-battle limitation would make me think I'd try for the Blaster first, particularly since there's a continuing supply of Honey Potions, but the Blasters are probably a one-shot deal.
I traded my Honey Potion for a Ylanas Blaster and some neopoints. I recommend you should do the same as well.
VermontHermit just gave all the reasons why you should do so.
I fairly convinced that dual ramtors spellbook + dual Y-blaster can work okay.
