Full Version: Can we get Neopets to give us 10 weapon slots??

I'm of the opinion that 8 slots just isn't enough...

If we had 10 slots a good set might look like >>

1. Anti-steal
2. Freezer/ Multi-Freezer
3. Attack Weapon
4. Attack Weapon
5. Bomb
6. Full Healer
7. Downsize!
8. GShield
9. FTabard
10. Thyoras Tear

I'm just throwing this out there... What do you guys think??
I dont really like the idea of 10 slots, 8 is just fine for me, if there was even just one more slot that would ruin a lot because the cobination of F-Tab+ G-Shield would be alot more common, which would stink for me
I don't think 10 slots should be implemented. Part of the challenge of the BD is being able to do well with a quantitative limit on your set.
I think 8 slots are fine. But when neopets gives more room you will think a new slot will be useful. The anti-stealer sloth is such a waste of space if you ask me.
I think too many people have perfected the strategy of having only 8 weapon slots. I'd rather keep the 8. I'm sure they don't want their opponents to have even more suprises/variety in their slots lol
I like the idea of variety and I'd love ten weapon slots personally, but I'll have to say I think it would be a bad idea for Neopets to do this, as it would even further tier the battledome. There are obnoxiously rich players who could easily fill ten slots with fantastic weapons. There are a far greater number of players who can afford a few (3-5) really good weapons, and a much larger number still who may have a freezer or bomb or front line offensive attack weapon, but that's about it. And of course there are the largest segment of players that don't even reach that point, some are new players working their way up, others people who have been around a long time and don't bother to devote nps to weapons (no sympathy for that group here).
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is this - players who don't have vast money making capabilities (aren't premium, play on dial-up, etc.) can, with time and effort, fill a few slots with front line weapons, and over the years, add one or two a year. With the eight slots, they have a chance of assembling over time, a decent battleset. The more numbers you add to the weapons options, the fewer players will be able to fill the increased slots with front-line items and the more you make the battledome into the wealthdome, which I don't think is a move in the right direction. Just my two cents!
Ten slots compared to eight would be nice for people who are really rich (which doesn't include me). They would fill their weapon slots with fantastic weapons though which would be kind of unfair to people who already have their set built around eight items and aren't rich enough to add 2 extra good items. People might actually just leave their set with eight items and improve the eight weapons instead of getting ten BD weapons and trying to upgrade those.

Btw, whatever the weapon slots, most people would still put junk in their first slot.
I wouldn't mind seeing a 9th slot added since it seems like it is never worth it to include a stealer anymore, and with a 9th slot I would allow that to happen. But with 10 slots People would basically all have this set given enough np:

SoS
PCC
PKiln/GFD/GC
GBomb
Tear
Healer
GShield/RoTL
Freezer
FTab
HRot/GSH

At higher incomes FSS/Peas become more likely so people could upgrade their constsants and people might want to try and get a GStaff instead of FTab.

There is really no need to make a lot of choices with 10 slots. With only 8 slots people that are nearing the upper level constants still have to make a choice between about having a third constant, a second shield, or HRoT or Tear.

People could also just go for a route including several dual duties to deal with each icon.

Overally its probably better to just leave it at 8 weapons.
With 8 slots you have a chance to use each icon (provided that you can get one monoicon weapon for each type). And use a Shield or the other way around. I think that if they add another slot they need to add another icon type.

I would love to have a "weight limit o volume limit" i mean few neopets has pockets or bags and many swords and shields shouldn't be easy to carry around.
The 700 STR boost should give you 12 slots, otherwise 8 is fine.
8 is a good number. It forces you to choose a limited number of weapons which means both sides will always have a flaw. Do you go for the power SOS or get something less blockable?
