beforehand: I hope this is the right forum for this.


I tried to get a Ylanas Blaster 2 days ago. Offering 700k and an omelette for it. Yesterday morning I logged in and read that the guy / girl had accepted a different offer. I clicked on it. The mesage disappeared, I was in the event window.

Then I thought: Ok. I didn't get it. But where the hell is my money?

I decided to wait an hour. I know that the queue is sometimes long for the trading post. 1 hour later: No money. Still I had the usual ~ 100k I carry around for buying stocks.

I decided to mail neopets. No reply yet. No money yet

I worked hard for 700k and even though I am rich, 700k is still a lot for me. Any ideas what happened? A bug? Anyone else with this experience? Advices what to do now?

I have not had that happen to me yet and I have heard of others get that glitch

Never going to get it back, I'm afraid. I've lost quite a bit through this glitch as well. Never received a reply to the queries I sent.

Neo has lots of glitches... I'm afraid you'll never get it back either. Neopets staff do not compensate of this matter.

Yeah, I knew there were some glitches with the auctions and the TP. I don't know if they are still happening though. But I guessed you just helped me confirm that there are some glitches with the TP. (on another note, I hate the guild apostrophe glitch thing)
I've been using the TP and auctions a lot though and nothing has happened to me yet so I guess I must be lucky. *knocks on wood*

Its really a shame - I still didnt get the money back. No reply from the neopets team neither. Though that doesn't surprise me. Its really saddening since I am playing Neopets since January 2001. I never had any problems with Neopets and only contacted the team a few times about minor problem.

But from year to year the support grew thinner and thinner. And since a few years it seems to have stopped completly.

I am afraid to trade again, not wanting to loose money again.




I hope no one of you will ever run into the glitch as I did.

As a result of my own TP misadventure, I now only make offers on the TP once the transaction has been confirmed over neomail, to avoid rejection/accepting of other offers. I also neomail people with serious (i.e. not junk) offers on my lots that I intend to reject asking them to withdraw their offers to avoid them falling prey to the glitch.

Such is they way things are these days, sadly. Best to avoid running into glitched rather than depend on the impossibility of their being fixed for you. *sigh*

I too only make offers and conclude the trade by neomail before doing any kind of offer. It's a shame that now it responded to the glitch and not because a haggle.

This is how buisnesses work: they start off by being nice to you so that more people will come.
Once the site has grown big enough, the TNT treats your account like statistics.

uh thousands of people, especially old accounts it seems, have encountered this glitch. I personally know of a few including myself, and see many boards on BDC about it. This glitch has been happening for a few months according to multiple sources and you're not the only victim =/ You're also not the only person to contact neopets about it. I've done it twice already over 1 month and although I did get 1 reply, they said they would "look at it" or something without meaning like that. So you shouldn't be afraid to trade, you should NOT trade, unless you're sure your offer will be accepted, or just use auctions.
