Has TNT said anything over the last year that would give someone hope that it'll be up again? Or is it pretty much accepted that the pound is gone?
I've been gone awhile. I'm surprised it isn't back up. The current situation makes me pray the BD never breaks.
I just don't want to lose names, I don't care about the paintjobs, paintjobs can always be fixed.
They have told that it is in their To-do list which means it will be done in the next 10 years
I think the pound will come back this summer, I mean a plot a Daily Dare, KEy Quest........I think TNT should get it done by summer if they can get that all done
It's been down since around end of may/start of june. One editorial they said
"Really sorry it's taking so long, gah. There are so many things to work out with it... but we are making progress! And no, we are not going to close it completely. It's an important part of Neopets so please don't believe any doomsayers who enjoy claiming otherwise. " But that was about 6 months ago. *sigh* Since then they've just been saying how they're busy with other things and it's on their to-do list. One time they said
"Asking why a bunch of items have been released while The Pound is still down or why we bother writing Neopedias while this area of the site needs updating is kinda silly. Our artists don't know how to program, our writers draw kinda funny, and the programmers... well, we don't let them do much writing (for the sanity of us all). Everyone has their own specific jobs here, and if we all switched things around… well, it would be years before you got plot prizes instead of months. D:" about 5 months ago. *sigh again*
Actually, I'm betting their recent quote is a hint that their April Fool's joke will be that the Pound's fixed.
Considering I'm stuck with 4 pets on my main I'm going to be a little more optimistic. =P
I have ti be optimistic, I still need Meuka and my only hope left is the reopens and I can get a pet with sneezles I have terrible luck with the wheels, been trying to get him for over a year now
I think the pound will be open soon; we all have to have trust in them right? Even though there have been so many mess-ups and glitches lately. Maybe that means something good is going to happen!

I sort of have to agree with you. Who knows what kind of pets have piled up in there? Also, all those pets might overload the site.
So who knows what will happen?
