Hi!
I have a Chomby, but that's subject to change because I lab.
My stats are:
Lvl : 52
Str : 98
Def : 18
Mov : 61
Hp : 202 / 202
(I am currently training level, so I can someday get my defense up higher.)
My set is:
Bow of Destiny
Honey Potion
Greater Healing Scroll
Pike Pike
Ramtors Spellbook
Downsize!
Black Frost Cannon
Golden Compass
I also have a purple sticky hand as a stealer for when it can be handy.
I am wondering if there are any substitutions I should be doing to my set? I only do 1-person battles. My budget is only about 2 million right now, plus what I can make by selling what I'd get rid of. I'd like to be ready for any battling we may be doing during this plot!

You might be able free up a bit of funds from your set by swapping your Ramtors Spellbook for a Scuzzys Comb as they do the same amount of icons for different prices (the price is warrented by how much you like the items look and/or icon types, but in this case they are similar for 1-p battling).
Perhaps you'd like to invest in a
Fire Whip for some hard DoN battles? It has a chance every round of knocking out on of their weapons for the battle. Keep in mind the chance of doing this and getting a first round freeze is particularly low, but for some 1-p battles it may be worth it!
Thanks for the advice!!! I'll definitely look into that.
What weapon should be my next upgrade, when I get enough funds?
I tested the fire whip and I can't recommend it; the chance of hitting the right weapon is extremely low, and it's really only useful for maxing out against the Giant Ghostkerchief or other challengers who have only one great multi-use weapon. You won't need it just to beat each challenger once for DoN. It's not a weapon that someone at your level will find very useful.
Your main attackers are fine for your level. If I were you, I'd start saving up for a
Bag of Healing Dust, the only non-species 50% healer. A good healer is extremely important, and your GHS is pretty much worthless to you now, as it heals less than a quarter of your hit points -- most enemies will hit you for harder than that in a turn. The dust will grow with you, no matter how high your hit points get. It's really the only option for a labber, unless you like unis and want to use green uni morphing potions to morph to a uni every time the lab switches your species -- then you could use
Lucky Uni Charm as your healer.
After the healer, your next upgrade should be a 100% freezer --
H4000 Helmet and
Freezing Potion are fairly close in price now, so pick one. Sure, the percentage freezers work, but they are a pain to use, especially during wars when time matters and you don't have Inflatable Balthazar around to fight so you can heal quickly after withdrawing from a battle.
(Another option: Now that split lenny morphing potions are so cheap, it could definitely be worthwhile to grab a bunch of those, plus a
Bag of Lenny Healing Seeds and an
Entangling Lenny Lasso -- there's your healer and freezer, and it costs less than the dust and helmet/potion.)

Well there is 1 more option, made available to lab users with the Kacheek Flour. Buy one of those, get a friend to sticky hand it off you and use it on you and you can use a
Kacheek Life Potion
True, although I'm not a big fan of KLP or the flour method... it's so much easier to change your species yourself instead of relying on a friend (and does the friends' pet have to be a Kacheek to use the flour? I think it does). The flour is also expensive and can be lost for good if you make a mistake using it.

Isn't there a chia flour too? Not that it has much use past icy chia goggles?
Again, with both of those, only another Kacheek or Chia can use the flour against your pet. The Kacheek Flour is great for a battle guild or whatever, where you have a ton of Kacheeks running around and getting floured is as simple as posting on the guild board and asking someone with a Kacheek to sticky it... it's a little harder if you're just doing 1p alone. And Chia Flour is pretty much worthless, since it will probably cost you more than a H4K -- it's really rare nowadays. Our of all of the options, I'd go with Lenny. The MPs are only around 20k right now, and it has a decently-priced 100% freezer and 50% healer. The lab doesn't change species nearly as often as it used to, either.
can you still battle yourself with a side account?
