It wouldn't be delayed, the damage(and thus EXP if the monster dies) is calculated as soon as start Blizzard. So the only thing I can think of is you guys were only expecting it to happen near the end of the attack. :? It really doesn't make sense that Metal, Tog, Krystal, and Reg all get EXP from it but the few other people randomly don't.
Anyway......

Dad's very cautious about what we download. He has a lot of sensitive info on the computer, and doesn't even want to take the chance that there could be any malware in anything we downlaod.
He should move all of his sensitive info to a USB drive
Or create a new partition and install Windows on it, then you can have a "safe" Windows and a "non-paranoid" Windows.
I didn't even ask my mother if I could download it. No point giving parents something to complain about
