Whats a good cheap 9 icon weapon that has some basic defense. Even 8 icon. Please leave suggestions

Makeshift Ships Hammer
Golden Compass

Cloudy Wand of Storms
Frozen Wand of Crystals
Wand Of The Moon

These are worth mentioning as well if budgeting is a concern. Keep in mind though that they're actually fractional (about 7.2-7.6 icons if I remember right) but still useful

From the title of this thread, what I get is:

Best for 1p: Essence of Esophager
Best for 2p: Psellias Fighting Fan

But if you want defenses, then you'd have to go with something else.

EDIT: I really don't suggest dual-duty weapons. Personally, I'd go with the Essence for 1p and defence from another shield.

Golden Compass is a good dual duty
Essence of Esophager is also pretty good for the variety of icon types.

Thief dagger, Amulet of inevitable betrayal, Makeshift ships hammer,
and Patched magic hat all pwn this...
Imo 2p battlers shouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole.

Well it does get through both burrow and sink, but the best use of it in 2p is to stack on top of a Wand of Reality if you can't afford dual WoRs.

As a single weapon, or used in a weapon + shield combo it's not so good for 2p
