Well it's that time again, let's see what it brings us. Are we going to get something decent this year? I'm hoping neo follows through on their vague editorial comment a month or so ago about possibly throwing in some codestones to battle the ugly inflation that it's gone through this year...

On the economic side, i'm definately going to take a chance this year and do some advent investing. Let's not forget what things like White Ona, Shooting Star Muffin, and some of the books have gone through in the past.

The only thing about the Advent Calendar that I don't like is the amount of hoarders and false inflation. Take last year's Shooting Star Muffin, for example.

you can save and invest/hoard if you so desire. while false inflation is bad, the shooting star muffin did deserve to skyrocket somewhat, just not to the level it did. if it makes you feel better, most of the people who are the big losers in that inflation are hoarders who got in too late, not the original holders who maybe got one, bought a few more the day it came out, and priced it high just to see what would happen

I agree. My personal approach is of the "day trader" variety. Buy early, make a modest profit, and get out without getting too greedy. I've found it works more often than not. Sometimes I don't hold long enough to get max profit, but a profit is still made

I dont think false inflation is bad as long as it is not done by you.
You can sell your item during false inflation
then buy them again after false inflation.

I know I was quite shocked.

Clicked and 'Return to Happy Valley' the Grand Wahoo (or some such) stole my Christmas Paint Brush. I was the proud owner for about 3 seconds!.
