Are peas still available? What items to avoid that I haven't read about in IDB? Any current list of what shows up? Anything I should know if I ever do get a crack at buying something? Any detailed guides out there? Thanks

When items are released at the cove, they are only available for a short time. After a certain number stock, they never show up again (so you won't get a pea if you try really hard).

There's always a rumor number out there (I think 120 or 240 is popular), but nobody really knows how many are in circulation.

So peas don't show up anymore? Or nobody is quite sure? I read about 'old cove items' that sound in that category... What are the new items? Does junk show up regularly like in most shops? Seems like I'll get few chances; I'd like to be ready

None of the old items show up anymore. When a new item does stock in the Cove, it tends to be released alongside "junk" items (those bitten green apples littered the Cove when SuAP was released). TNT also hasn't released very much for the Cove in recent history (Sloth Approved Hair Gel being the only thing I can think of, and that was several months ago, and I can't recall anything being released there for several months before that).

So Sloth Approved Hair Gel is new. This is exactly the kind of info I need. What else is current? Could folks list what they did see? What is the junk? Or is it all as obvious at bitten green apples? Is there anything that does not show up in the 'smuggler's cove' section of Weapons? Thanks

It's not current. It was released several months ago, and it probably several months done stocking.

So the cove will (continuously?) stock an item until it exhausts the 120...which doesn't take long? Not like a teapot this time and hair gel the next? How many does it stock at a time? Hair Gel is not on the Cove list in Weapons, so is everything on that list effectively retired? What is current? When you say, " TNT hasn't released much in recent history"--does that mean the pirates just don't show up, or nothing new is released as in the same old stuff keeps showing up, what ever that is?. Do the pirates only show up when something new is released? I appreciate this.

The Pirates will show up if you go refreshing the Cove too often (to Cove-ban you, which lasts for maybe a day), but otherwise they won't unless something new is released (I can't recall whether or not TNT has always informed us, or if a few items slipped under the radar).

There's no alternation (I suppose there might be if two items were released at once, but I don't think that's ever happened). Everything that's out now has been effectively retired. (I don't know how long it takes to get the X number out into the economy, but it's definitely done within a month: possibly as little as two weeks.)

When I said nothing new had been released in recent history, I meant during the past several months since the Hair Gel was released. Prior to SuAP (however many years ago that was), TNT used to add Cove items more frequently. I honestly can't think of anything being released between SuAP and the Hair Gel (though I want to say there must have been something).

The Meepapault, but that's hardly worth mentioning.

So, for clarity sake: unless you were in the Cove for a few weeks in June of 2004 for the SuAP, or August of 2006 for the Meepapault, or March of 2007 for the Hair Gel, you'd get nothing in the last three years except the "Are you trying to get us in trouble?" cartoon...

Well there have been some non-weapons released in between suap and gel...I think a pirate plushie was recently release and there was that pirate jelly...but yeah, your for clarity sake statement was put well...
except that, those 3 weren't the only items released by the cove, and you can always buy them from others.
