Hi, I would like some help in improving my current BD set.

Level: 15
Hit Points: 332 / 332
Strength: LEGENDARY (140)
Defence: AMAZING (84)
Movement: LEGENDARY (109)
Intelligence: total genius (58)

As you should be able to see my pet's a lab rat. I'm currently training on KQs, dubloons and lab ray for now. My weapon/skill lineup is

Honey Potion
Essence of Esophagor
Downsize!
Shovel Plus
Burrow/Sink/Drain Life/Fiery Gaze

I am considering replacing the essence with golden compass soon but other than that I've got nothing. I play 1p mainly so that's my top priority. I don't have a freezer or a healer atm, not planning to turn my pet into any species although later on I will morph my pet into a zafara when I stop using the lab ray.

The thing is, should I upgrade my weapons or concentrate on training my pet first? Also, what are the standard upgrades for comb and hp? Thx for your help.

Well since it's 1p mainly and that's your top priority here's my advice:

Your Essence of Esophagor will generally serve you better than a Golden Compass would, but it's a decent trade off for some 1p opponents.

I'll help more but first I want to know about how much money are you looking to spend?

Standard upgrade for NQII 10 Iconers would be the 11 icon TCG Blasters (Garoo Elite Blaster is my favorite, i'm currently using one it's great) or Sword of Apocalypse and the next upgrade to HP I'm sorry to say is generall all the way up to Ghostkerbomb I wish there was a cheaper step in between but the only step would be Rainbow Clockwork Grundo which I'm not a huge fan of but you can try it out for yourself if you like.

As I said please post a budget to give us a range to work with for your set upgrade.

For healers and freezers, pick up Greater Healing Scroll and Snowglobe Staff (alternatively to Snowglobe Staff, you could go for Black Frost Cannon).

Go with a second Scuzzys and a second Essence. There's not really a "good" upgrade until Bow of Destiny, unless you want to take a look at the 11-iconers, but price is the big deterrent there (Fungus Ray being the "best" in that it doesn't overlap icons with Scuzzys, but note that I use the term best loosely).

As modchamp said, the Honey Potion upgrades are Rainbow Clockwork Grundo (about 4 icons more on average) and Ghostkerbomb (about 12 icons more on average). The Grundo comes at a time when you should be looking at the 13-iconers, and for that reason is generally overlooked. (You'll also probably want to sell Honey Potion to pay towards the second 13-iconer you pick up.)


There's really no reason to recommend training to you: you're not using the Schools (which you're a long way behind in, though Terror Troving might be beneficial), and K-Questing is a more controlled cost. You certainly should be K-Questing though (the 200 Strength Boost is worth more to you than upgrading to dual-13 iconers, making it worth more than 6 million, and upwards of 7). Codestone/Dubloon training your Level, at least while you're in the cheaper brackets, might be somewhat beneficial in the long-term.
