Alrighty...the last set I did was about 3 mil...and i'm thinking there might be quite a bit of difference in a 10 mil set...

right now i'm just looking to get as many avvies as I can.

Pet stats are below, right now I'm training equally to the 55 boost...not sure where i'll go from there.

Species : Jetsam
Agility : 13 (breakneck)
Attack Strength : 39 (GREAT (39))
Defence Strength : 38 (GREAT (38))
Current hp: 37 / 37
Level : 20
One-player only, or do you want to get into two-player as well? Any advice we give will depend on that. Smile
truthfully i'm not 100% sure...though i'm sure i'll probably end up trying 2 player sooner or later...

could you possibly give advice on both ways? Big Grin...or maybe some standard items for both ways, with a few that would be switched depending on 1p or 2p?
Okay, stuff that would work well for both:

Bow of Destiny or Wand of Reality (or both; they're decent paired)
Golden Compass, Scuzzys Comb or Ramtors Spellbook (I'd pair any of those with the BoD rather than the WoR to avoid too much light, although if you're going to overload on an icon type in 2-player, light's not a bad one)
Honey Potion (not as useful once both your main attackers do 13+ icons, but if you go with one 13-iconer and a 9-10-iconer, it's still got a place)
Greater Healing Scroll (until you get to 100 hit points, at which time you'll probably want to upgrade -- unfortunately, the next real non-species upgrade is the much more expensive Bag of Healing Dust)
Downsize! (it's just always useful)
Ring of the Lost (probably moreso in 2-player than in 1-player, although it can certainly come in handy against 1-player opponents who deal a lot of dark)

Stuff that would be more useful in 1-player:

Black Frost Cannon (you can get lucky and hit with it in 2-player, but it's a percentage freezer and it's better suited to 1-player, where you can simply withdraw and heal if it doesn't freeze when you need it to)
Yooyuball Player Sling/Yooyuball Keepers Chest Guard (physical is very common in 1-player, and blocking all of it would help you a lot. This weapon could be useful in 2-player as well, but I think of it as more of a 1-player thing).
Prickly Potion (it does only six icons, but it does those six icons using the opponent's strength boost, so it can really help against strong 1-player opponents. Quite a few people use two at once for an even harder hit)

Stuff better suited to 2-player:

Dual-duties like Mask of Coltzan, Dusty Magic Broom/Air Faerie Crown, Hobans Hat; pure shields like Ghostkershield and Faerie Tabard (defence is useful in 1-player, but only to a point -- if you're going for avatars/fighting in a war or NCW event/trying to get on a high score table, you're going to be fighting opponents with a much higher strength boost than your defence boost, so your shields won't end up blocking much. In 2-player, you'll be fighting people with roughly equal stats, and defence will be much more useful)
Jittery Jipple Potion/Steaming Skeem Potion (in 1-player, they do only 6 and 8 icons, respectively, but in 2-player -- as long as your opponent has 10+/19+ intelligence -- they do a full 10 and 11 icons, respectively)

That's all I can think of right now... I'm sure others will weigh in!
would you happen to know what decent prices on BoD and WoR are right now? (so i could get an decently easy resell price if i want to get rid of them?)

and thanks for the advice Smile
The thing is, to a low DEF booster, percentage blockers would come in handy. That way, you can lab and have DEF at the same time.

The percentage blockers I know consist of:
Downsize!, 50% all, OPB
Thyoras Tear, 100% all, OPB
Winged Scarab, 100% physical - some dmg
Yooyuball Player Sling, 100% physical
Yooyuball Keepers Chest Guard, 100% physical
Ghostkershield, 100% dark
Ring of the Lost, 100% dark
Faerie Tabard, 100% water
Enchanted Kiko Squeeze Toy, 100% water
Shadow Shield, 100% light
Illusens Silver Shield, 100% earth
Pirate Captains Hat, 100% earth, 100% light, semi-fragile

I'm not suggesting that you lab, but I'm just saying this is a possible route.
WoR and BoD stay pretty consistent between 3.5 and 4 mil each, and of course rise in price during site-wide battling events. I'd try to get one for closer to the 3.5 price just to be safe.

Also, mathbits, nice list (although Creed is training stats equally right now and may not end up being a low def booster -- Creed, if you plan to do 2-player at all, I'd keep defence at least equal with strength so dual-duties and shields would be useful). The fragile, cheap 50% reflectors (Double Dryer, Turbo Flame Reflector, Super U-Bend, Dual Battle Mirror, Ultra Dark Reflectorb, Shovel Plus) are also great to have for 1-player battles.
I'd suggest something along the lines of Ultra Bubble Gun + Bow of Destiny.

In the UBG class, there's also Dull Stone Axe, Werelupe Claw Necklace, Porcelain Hair Sticks, and Asparachucks.
ok, i've decided on

Downsize
Greater Healing Scroll
Bow of Destiny
Honey Potion

now...what else would you suggest (aiming just for 1p avvies...not taking 2p into account)

i'm thinking 2 prickly potions, black frost cannon...and Yooyuball Player Sling

does that sound good? or would you use something other than those two potions?
That set sounds decent to me -- try it out and see what you think. (I've never used the Prickly Potions, so I can't really say if they live up to the hype.) If you don't like it, all those weapons are ETS, so you could easily replace them. Smile You might want to hold off on the YYPS until after the latest Altador Cup prizes come out, just in case they re-release it as a prize (or release something more useful).
I should go try the AC Smile

well, I got the BFC, Downsize, GHS, and BoD already, should have HP in a few mins...guess i'll just do like you said and play around with the rest Smile
