hi i feel ready for an upgrade so please tell me wich of the 5 new sistems (with handhelds) is the best for me? i LOVE pokemon and zelda but similar games can do the work, im happy if in the sistem there are a good RPG, a pokemon type game (DP, FRLG, ect) and a multiplayer fighting game. thanks
Nintendo DS, or rather, the Nintendo Dual-Screen.
There are now chips called R4's and you can look it up. It has the ability to store bootleg copies of games to play.
I don't have one though.

Yep. Approximately 15 ROMs per card makes it decent value for money. Multiplayer even works fine, not WiFi though. And there are some games that I just have to own the actual thing.

Well, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl for the DS is self-explanatory, Zelda-wise, Phantom Hourglass is set to come out in English fairly soon, and as for fighting games... Jump! Ultimate Stars? Heh. As for RPGs, there's Puzzle Factory (RPG? Not for me but they classify it as such), Etryian Odyssey (made me cry, lol) & my personal favourite right now, Luminous Arc!!! (major obsession with it currently)
Fire Emblem =D
Yay for FE! They should've brought more of them onto the GBA...
Thread title is kinda misleading, to be honest, if I were to answer it, I'd say Golden Sun.

That's what I was going to recommend once I saw this topic
. Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age are really great GBA games (they can be played on the DS, since the DS has a GBA slot).
Also, treeko, there's a Fire Emblem game in the works for DS. Touchscreen controls + turn-based-strategy = win.

Bah, I disliked GS: TLA, couldn't stand the second set of characters.

Got one of these, very good value for money. Got a 2gb SD card, so can store about 30 games, works absolutely perfectly
Come to think of it, I don't think I've paid for a game for about 2 years now
thanks for the advice, i will purchase my DS when the R4s come to my country... but please explain me about WiFi connection because in DP thread looks like i can trade with people around the world... please...

Given I'm the one person in the world that doesn't hack for games, I'm not sure on the exact explanation, but the basic idea is that you can't get on Wi-Fi with hacked games. Either the DS or Nintendo's servers reject them, 'cause they know your copy of the game isn't legal.
Any games you have legitimate copies of will be fine.

Like he says. DS Wireless works fine though, it has to be noted.
So if you want the WiFi experience for a particular game, buy it. For that reason (and the fact that some games are just so great that the company has to be supported!), I own a fair collection of DS games despite only owning one for a couple of months. *goes back to playing Luminous Arc, that fact that it's 3 am and there's school be damned*
And I believe what shadownight was asking was exactly how WiFi works, actually. I can't give a very satisfactory answer to that so...
To use the wi-fi connection, you need a broadband connection. You also need either a wireless router using 802.11b or 802.11g (which is pretty much any router you would have) or the Nintendo USB Connector. If you're using a router, it must be either unencrypted or using WEP encryption (no WPA

).
Once you have that set up, connecting inside a game is very easy.
