Yes, iPod does spring to mind, but the price for the amount of memory is...appauling. In HMV the iPod shuffles 1GB were £50, while the Zen version of it was £25. And Don't get me started on the nanos...
I only know the UK market, there might be more variety in the USA.
I have a sony 20GB thing. It's been out for 2 years now, and I got mine just after they came out. It's been good, but it's on it's last legs. the only thing that I found let it down was the software. I'm saving up for a new one - the 4GB video ones are pretty *_*

What MP3 players do you guys have, and how do you rate them?

EDIT- Sony, not song *oooopsy*
Zune

point blank

u can go here for mor einfo:

Zune.net

some people dont like how they look.. but i love then.

they are also WAY more sturdier than the iPod

there are really only a couple things the iPod has over the Zune, and it's not like, those wont get fixed in a later update

besides, the ebst thing of all is that its not from Apple
Like the above poster, I dislike Apple. In all things.

Personally I'd advocate the use of Creative players (support local brands!). I'm getting good use out of a 30 GB Vision currently, and prior to that, had a MuVo that lasted some 3+ years.
My SanDisk mp3 player has lasted me 3 years. 1GB. From the price of 150 CAN, it has now dropped to around 70 CAN. lololol
I'm using an Apple iPod video. 30 gigs. Hate me or whatever, but I think it's pretty awesome.
These Zune things - They're Microsoft's effort right? I don't think they're available in the UK yet, I'm sure I'd have heard if it were. Although they have Editors on their front page, and they're very much British (Birmingham, near me to be exact).

Apple = Grrr. Other girls at school think they're the best thing ever. And I asked them to justify the cost over others, and they just replied that they had mirrors in the back =/

I have the exact same type. I'm very happy with it. Don't kill me.
I only have a 2-year old, 256MB mp3 player from them, but iRiver is a good choice. They look nice, and I think they're decently priced. They also have a lot of other features that some iPods don't.
The one I have doesn't eat up batteries, either.
I have a Creative Zen:M. The main reason I chose this was because of the easy song transfer. I was already using Windows Media Player to play all my music, so everything was pretty much already organized. If I got an iPod, I would need to re-create my entire music library on iTunes. The Zen allowed me to transfer from WMP straight to the mp3 player.

That was the deciding factor, and I guess I'm still grateful for all the time I saved from buying a Zen.

Honestly though, I like the iPod better. It's much thinner (compared to this huge brick I have), and the spin-wheel is a LOT easier to use than the vertical scrolling on the Zen.

this is correct. since they are relatively new, they arent available not even in canada. but patience, cuz it'll get there soon.

you can, however, just snag one from Ebay or amazon if you want. however, if u decide u dont like it, im afraid you cant return it.

but u can attempt to resell it to someone else in ur country who might want one or just put it back up on ebay

meh. mediocre isnt my thing Wink

they are, i guess

i seen em around...

this wheel, is the ONLY thing i actually like about the ipod

but Apple is so pretentious, u kno they tried to patent that design? its so broad like what the heck? its like owning fire.

they tirppin, cuz the wheel isnt THAT great

Zune's have a directional pad, which is fine i guess, and gives u a more accurate response, but the wheel is faster =/
meh, a Zune is too bulky for my taste, and the Creative Zen mp3 players are too difficult to use, imo.

I have a 4GB ipod nano - when I got it, it was nearly the same price as other 4 GB alternatives, and the size and ease of use were enough to justify the price difference. It's lasted quite well, and I'm very happy with it.
