Went searching; can't find it.
As you probably know, I've retired. My brothers want accounts. I don't know why. I see that the ads are horrid (in more than one sense) now. How long have those Zwinky things been up?
Anyway, knowing Neopets under Adam, and seeing some of Neo under Viacom... There's no possible way my brothers and I will avoid the ban-hammer, is there, inasmuch they'll be playing games and doing freebies?
I'll hide my Annals of Insanity and Royal Wedding Ring with a real-life friend, I think... Though, he has logged in on this computer...
I really just don't want to be frozen because...
I don't want them to be frozen, and I want to bail all the good items to SOMEONE... I've been keeping them in case I wanted to come back, but...
Any wisdom from the old IDB crew?
Just have them put notices on their accounts saying that multiple people use the same computer. My brothers (I have three), my mom and I all have accounts, and I have two, and none of us have been frozen.
TNT has acknowledged several times that they are aware of entire families sharing one computer. As long as the accounts are identifiable as distinct family members there should not be a problem.
Yep, each one needs a different e-mail address (of course), and if you have multiple computers and they're playing at the same time, that should make it pretty obvious there are different people there. They should probably refrain from sending a lot of items back and forth, at least at first.

The Editorial has stated before that this is pointless, that they're not just going to believe whatever you put on your user lookup, but will rely on their own records or something to decide whether or not you're telling the truth.
And I'm sorry to put a dampener on all this, but my entire family got their accounts frozen despite all signs pointing to different people using different accounts (we all had our preferred games, VR for me, WRT for my older sis, Extreme Herder for my younger sis etc, only two of us were into battling, and so on). No matter how often I pointed that out to them, seeing as they kept insisting that "we are required to use the evidence that we have in our records" and surely what I had to say would've been in said records, the reply was the same: "Your accounts were frozen for cheating by creating multiple accounts and attempting to profit from them."
Eventually only I managed to get my account back, and when I did it wasn't acquittal by any means, it was merely being given a second chance by a kindly staff member. So as far as they're concerned, I was a cheat.
So I'd hesitate before assuring you that nothing will go wrong as the others before me have done. Perhaps mine was a one-off bad experience and generally things go fine.
I've heard stories very similar to matt's. No matter how distinct the accounts are, if they have the same IP's it'll be totally different.
But if you MUST, the only tip I can give is to NEVER transfer any items/neopoints between users. As long as there is nothing being transfered, TNT can't really say that you're "profiting" over multiple accounts.
Another suggestion would be to use proxys to hide your IP address, so TNT can't see that you and your brother's account are on the same IP address. However, proxies are really annoying to use, since they only work for awhile, and even if they do work, TNT may be able to see through the proxy.

I wouldn't use a proxy, because if TNT can see through it, it will just convince them that you have something to hide.

So I guess giving my siblings Christmas presents over Neo cost me my account, huh?

Well thats a big IF. I have successfully bypassed websites where I was IP banned, and even network bans with proxies. But yes, using proxies IS a bit of a risk, but so is having 2 accounts on 1 computer

lol, probably

Well, I'll let them wander around and play. All the better for the rest of the people hoarding their Annals of Insanity if I get frozen, I suppose.

It'll just ensure I never come back... Nothing wrong with that, I've got better things to do.

A few things you could do:
1. IP is easy to get around, I use a router for with its own hardware firewall for extra security. Anyone who sees my ip just sees the network ip and not the pc's itself. This is how any other network, such as a school would look to them and it serves as the first line of defense to your information.
2. You can change your ip anytime you want to unless you pay for a static one. Few home users do. So you could change your ip [Start> Control panel> Network connections> Your internet connection ( something like net' connection 1 or 2 should be few options) click the support tab and then click the repair box] This will assign you a new ip address. Now create a new account that can't be traced back to you. Repeat the steps to get a new ip and give said items to that account. Logout and change your ip one more time just to be safe. To them it will look like you just gave them to any other random user.
3. You could sell them to me cheap. Lol

Whatever you decide have fun.
