Um, isn't the Orbis Party Quest thing just a smuggling thing? :? You can do that with any Party Quest and Guild Quest, so it's exploiting a facet of the items you shouldn't be able to take out. I think it just works to a greater advantage in OPQ, yeah? I dunno, I haven't actually looked it up.
And the only thing wrong with Boomers was the exponential spawning. If they had lowered the cap, it would've still be pretty easy to finish the Boomer/Gryphon quest, but F/P mages wouldn't be able to train there. Or if a Boomer only spawned one Boomer, then the growth rate would've been dwarfed.
Ginger Ale is 5.5K. D: At least that still less than the Elixirs were a couple weeks ago. :/
You seem to have a point, if you lag in boomers, what makes you think your not going to lag at a Zakum run, or the free-market? I feel sorry for low bandwidth players, the usually have to BUT thier helms because Zakum kills them dureing the lag.D:
As one of the people with a slow internet connection, and an incredibly ancient computer that lags all the time, I have probably been DC'ed at least 20 times at the boomers in the last week.

Though I sort of got used to what I could and could not do. Poison Mage would kill me. I tried to avoid them as much as possible. I could handle mobs that were big enough to give a decent amount of EXP. Sure, I did have a disadvantage at those boomers, but it really wasn't that bad. I don't think that removing it just because of lag would have been the full reason.
In saying that, I have moaned and complained a fair few times about people using poison to multiply them. Well over half of my lag-outs at the boomers were the result of the boomers multiplying just too fast at the boomers that I couldn't escape. What I really wanted to see (Yes, I know that I am going to get disagreed with for this one) is that the reduced the value of the poison for multiplying boomers.
However, even the poison had value to me. If I stood up in the top corner of that second map, I could still leech when there was poison around and be perfectly safe from DC'ing.
It is a shame that they changed this. I guess that I will just go off to ludi and orbis and go train out there until level 40 now. I guess that boomers were one of those things that was just too good to be true.
As for the pots though...
I can't remember the exact name of my 1500HP one, but it was awesome value, so I guess that it has been ruined

Not really, it's Guild Party Quest. People just call it that because they think it's a glitch and because they haven't done my test to see whether it's intentional or not.
regelus Wrote:using them is against the game TOS.
I don't know about this point because the words "Terms of Service" at the bottom of any Maple Story or Nexon page doesn't link to anything for me, so I cannot read it.
regelus Wrote:I hardly see people frozen by GPQ, but i am sure that if you ask about them to a GM, they will say the same than me.
Good, I've never seen anyone get banned for it either. GMs would obviously say that it's against the ToS, which again, I can't see, to stop people from getting mad. But then again, you never know.
Wilt, you seem to have a major misunderstanding of what is being discussed. GPQ is NOT the Guild Quest; GPQ is the name for the screwed up Orbis PQ.
Also, the prices on potions in New Leaf City were more than doubled. Ginger Ales are now 5.5k each, barely any improvement over Elixirs at all.
Is it just me, or are people's posts not showing up here? o.O

Yeah, that was happening to me. I just changed my number of posts per page so that I could see every post here.

Ironically enough, the glitch-related thread is glitched. It shows up fine for me because I have 50 posts per page.
Just so everyone's straight, the bombs do NOT multiply AT ALL anymore, correct?
I think they spawn new ones at 1HP
OK, just so we can get straight: Boomers don't multiply any more AT ALL, correct?
Quote:I believe you read it wrong. If only the leader can clear, it's no longer a "glitch". The "glitch" in this is that all party members can clear. What I said was that the person who posted the reply said that when she did OPQ (I dunno how long ago, must've been a few months), only the leader could clear Storage, meaning that there was no "glitch" back then. In other words, Nexon did change it from "leader-only clear" to "everybody clear".
From what I've read so far, it seems like a good deal of coordination and preplanning is needed to abuse the glitch. For all you know, the glitch simply wasn't known a few months ago, when the person you talked to did the OPQ. You can hardly flaunt this as proof that the glitch is intentional - and I fail to see how the multitude of people calling it the "Glitched Party Quest" can be ignored as incorrect simply because it suits you.
Logically, if the glitch was intentional, GMs would not be saying "No, it's a glitch. Don't use it." They would be saying "Oh, it's supposed to be that way." Saying that it's a bannable offense does not make people happy, but saying that it's intentional would - if it was intentional, players who want to advance in MS honestly, without unfair glitch abuse, would be able to use it.
TOSO, the Boomers do still multiply, but only when reduced to 1HP, so it's much harder now.
Edit: Changed my post once I figured out how to see all the posts.
