Since I'm here, I might as well ask for some advice
I've been looking to expand my set a bit with the 'higher class' weapons. It's purely for 1-player battles, plots/wars and stuff.
I've been gawking at the SoS for a while, but recently the Slumberberry Potion has also attracted my attention, since the tough creeps in plots will at a certain point hit harder than I can. I think a freezer might help me out more, but I don't have much experience with freezing (except for one of those cheaper frost cannons). I tend to favor the SP over the H4000 Helmet because of the multiple freezability + damage and the fact that I can always withdraw in 1-player if things go wrong
Should I go for the SoS or the SP? Or should I just go for defence instead, like the Ghostkershield. As for stats, my pet has nearly 200 HP and the 125 Strength & Defence boost (currently around 140)
Edit: forgot to post my current set. I've got some NQII weapons, Scuzzy's Comb and Bow of Destiny, Leaf Shield, Earthen Scorchstone, downsize and a healer. That's about it I think
Unless you have VERY high HP, the SP is not that great. Why waste your time withdrawing 4/5 of the time for a CHANCE to multi-freeze? The H4K helmet and the SoS are vastly superior IMO.
I don't have a lot of time to play these days, so economy is important to me. That being said, my advice is to morph to a species with a 100% freezer and possibly a species healer. Most species freezers I know of go for less than 3 mil. Freeing up a lot of cash for training/offense/defense or morphing your pet back, if you lab train.

Such as a Lenny for Bag of Lenny Healing Seeds 50% heal for about 2m and a 100% freezer, Entangling Lenny Lasso.
And Lenny Morphing is cheap enough as well:

the problem with going the route of the species freezers is that you run into a block when you try to find a healer. Yes, the lenny has both options available, but I've tried to find a BoLHS before; it is next to impossible to get one at a reasonable price. If you want to go the route of BoLHS + ELL, it is very likely that it will cost you more than Fpot and Klp will together.
Well, as much as I love battling, I love my pet as it is. I have a Gelert and its species healer, painted and all, so I don't plan on changing species anytime soon.
I thought that a freezer or shield might help me out more when the battles become tougher, but I guess a stronger weapon will also get me to a few more rounds each time

Not necessarily so. It'll be silly to price the Bag of Lenny Healing Seeds + Entangling Lenny Lasso at any cost beyond a H4000 Helmet + Gelert Healing Remedy, because without the freezer, Lennies are basically unattractive as a battle pet. They have average species abilities and no advantage over any icons.
But I do agree that getting the Bag of Lenny Healing Seeds is the toughest thing you will ever do. That being said, our friend here is not looking to morph into a lenny so those options are already out.
Kenjiro, Slumberberry Potion is not be the best weapon in terms of its freezing capability. The water attack is nice, yes, though it is very susceptible to abilities like Burrow, Sink, and Boil, as well as the Leaf Shield and Hobans Hat.
You need to decide what is it that is more pressing: a good weapon or a good freezer? Let me point out that it's much better to train than to have better weapons, as training has a greater impact on how much damage you do against an opponent. That being said, there is nothing wrong with getting a good weapon. Sword of Skardsen is an overrated-turned-underrated weapon. Nice one to have, but you do need to have an alternative back up should it fail you, especially in 2-player.
The way I see it, it is a matter of priority, so I'm gonna help you prioritise:
- Freezer (H4000 Helmet, or even better Freezing Potion
- Bomb (good old Honey Potion will do the trick)
- A good weapon (you have two weapons that does 13-icons or more, you can sell off the Honey Potion)
And here I thought the Slumberberry Potion would be very popular, being that it has a lot more potential over the course of a battle than one time freezing. *shrugs* I suppose everyone has their preference.
I always thought the process of morphing into a Neopets just to use special items as too costly, so I would just go with all purpose items. A neopets can be changed at any time, so it would risky to place so much faith in chance (with computer coding no less).
