So..., this was a long time ago, and suddenly i'm seeing buyable 9 iconers!

I 1 player and 2 player, because fighting a computer all the time isn't fun
My weapons are rubbish as you would imagine, but here are the new ones anyhoo...
Purple Sticky Hand
Greater Healing Scroll
Scarab Ring
Downsize!
Ice club
Golden Compass
And just to well and truly take the biscuit 2 mud mixtures!
I've got 300k or something rounds about, and am leaning towards a black frost cannon, and pfft, stuck there! No idea what to do next.
So, i'm all ears!
Well I'm not an expert and I won't pretend to be but here's my two cents:
Get a
Snowglobe Staff instead of the Black Frost Cannon, that should leave you with around 280k or so, then i'd buy another dual duty maybe a
Makeshift Ships Hammer which would run you about 70k leaving you with 210k Then you'd need a shield
Leaf Shield would be an obvious choice with it's great icons and good amounts of each, that'd be about 19k. And last i'd switch your Scarab Ring for a
Steaming Skeem Potion against most 2 player enemies this will be an 11 iconer and at a buyable price you just can't pass that up.
So your new set would be:
Purple Sticky Hand
Greater Healing Scroll
Steaming Skeem Potion
Downsize!
Ice Club
Golden Compass
Makeshift Ships Hammer
Leaf Shield
Again all of that is just my opinion and I might be totally wrong

Got myself 450 odd K in the bank, who knows maybe 550 by tomorrow, and am leaning towards a 10 iconer at this stage?
I do have the 85 defence boost so a dual duty would be ok, but i'm going to hear if anybody has any good ideas before acting on impulse!
I hear what you're saying, although I can use the defence I'm not too sure I'd like having an ethereal sword, if I had the choice i'd rather do the 10 icons from say a ramtors than potentially just doing 4.5 icons from the ethereal, also I'm thinking ice club to get rid off? but pfft, not sure!
I've had a frozen wand of crystals used against me, and i liked what I saw, had a bit of trouble defending that, so thats a definite consideration!
I guess the Makeshifts hammer combined with a ramtors could be pretty lethal huh?
Also what about shields, I've got a leaf shield, but for my stage is that going to suffice or would a scarab ring be more useful?
Frozen Wand of Crystals attack is nothing unique. In fact you have it already albeit a stronger version:
Golden Compass
But if you planning to rid the
Leaf Shield then the wand would be great. An alternative shield to look at would then be
Patched Magic Hat.
Scarab Ring is a nice weapon to have, and no, it's not too weak for your level. But considering that you gonna get yourself a
Makeshift Ships Hammer, I'm not too sure about how useful it's gonna be considering that the only thing that sets it apart from everything else you have is a bit of fire defence and a bit of water attack.
Ramtors Spellbook is nice if you can get all 10 icons through. Against a
Golden Compass you would get slightly over 7 icons. Against an
Ethereal Sword you're gonna get just 5. Against both, slightly over 2 only. That is, of course, if you are not pairing it with another weapon that deals light and/or dark also.
From your set, though, I foresee you pairing it with the
Golden Compass, so that calculates to you doing about 11 worth of damage (when you should be doing 19) while your opponent doing more than 13 without having any of their icons blocked (and spending lesser than you while he's at it, heh).

Leaf shield should be good for the 6-10 icon range, when you feel it is getting too weak and outdated consider

Yes,
Ice Club has better icons than
Golden Compass but the dark defense makes
Golden Compass superior so
Ice Club would be the one of the two to replace.
Ok, I'll work towards a sophies magic hat eventually, I'm finding myself to be easily getting these short term-goals I've got about 400k now and managed to sell my ice club and buy a ramtors, is there anything to be working towards in the long term or shall i just wait for the dusty magic broom?
Well as always long term goals would be your expensive healers/freezers/bombs such as
Leaded Elemental Vial,
H4000 Helmet,
Ghostkerbomb and of course there's always the species healers/freezers which are generally cheaper but they of course require a certain species, lenny or chia would be a good option for cheap freezers.
