My set needs fixing. Please and thanks.

species: Elephante
level: 62
HP: 121
Strength: 108
Defence: 92
Agility: 50
Intelligence: 255

Current Set:

1 - downsize!
2 - Bow of Destiny
3 - Dusty Magic Broom
4 - Golden Compass
5 - Honey Potion
6 - Leaf Sheild
7 - Elephante Unguent
8 - empty slot

Budget: About 4million

Training Method: Codestones and Kitchen Quests. Occasional Terror Trove Scratchcard. Former lab pet who will NEVER see the lab again.

Training Goal: 125 boost for both Strength and Defence and then all hit points from there.

1-player or 2: Both, really. It's honestly quite even. But if pressed I'll say that 2 player is my priority in updating my set.
No more labbing? Train STR and DEF to 125.

I personally thing that Dusty Magic Broom just isn't worth it. Perhaps sell that for an extra million or so. Perhaps you'd like to get a Faerie Tabard or Ghostkershield when you get the money to.

In the future, I think you'd like a 100% freezer, so, H4000 Helmet?

You also need to upgrade for a better constant. Right now you have 22 constant icons at most, you could make it 23 with Ramtors Spellbook. You might also want to throw in a Purple Sticky Hand in your first slot.
mathbits, betenoire is training to the 125 boosts. Smile

Dusty Magic Broom is a good weapon, cutting entirely through sink and blocking light from a lot of common intermediate weapons like Wand of Reality, Psellias Fighting Fan, Golden Compass, Pike Pike, Scuzzys Comb, Ramtors Spellbook... I wouldn't get rid of it.

I agree about the H4K, though. A 100% freeze is absolutely essential in 2-player, unless you manage to find a guild or group that will agree to no-freeze battles. But in normal battling, if you go up against a similarly-statted opponent and they freeze you in the first round, you're dead.

Another idea would be to put a Mask of Coltzan in place of the Golden Compass, for a nice fire attack (which will cut through opponents' Gshields) and better dark defence, along with some earth defence. That might require replacing the BoD so you don't end up with an overload of fire, earth and air between the MoC, DMB and BoD -- maybe switch to a Wand of Reality for some light.

And there's always Ghostkershield or Faerie Tabard, although now that Glittery Faerie Dust is becoming more common, those aren't quite the powerhouses they used to be. Ring of the Lost is another decent dual-duty to consider.
put a Purple Sticky Hand in your empty slot, train strength up to next boost level, dunno what else
Please don't just echo what the people above you said without explaining yourself or giving any new advice. Thank you. Smile
How set are you on staying with the elephant. If you morph to a lenny, for example, you could get your freezer and a 1/2 healer for less than 3 mil.
Burny makes a good point. Although it can be hard to find the Bag of Lenny Healing Seeds, you can get it and an Entangling Lenny Lasso for the price of one H4K Helmet (or less). The mutant Lenny is also pretty cool... or at least I think so. Smile

In the real far off future (we're talking six months here) I plan on having trained my pets intelligence up to 1000 - I want the Heavy Blue Tunic. H4000 Helmet is something to consider in the meantime - although a 100% freezer isn't one of my priorities right now. The Guild that I'm in doesn't allow for 100% freezers.
I've got one in my SDB. I never use it. It never works when I want it to and most people are smart enough to put something rubbish in their first slot.

I like everything you just said here. I've had and used the MOC and was real happy with it - I don't know what I was thinking getting rid of it.

Lenny, eh? Thanks for the tip. I wish that had occurred to me a
month ago - I just recently morphed my pet into an Elephante for the healer. (Getting a species healer was the only way I could afford something better than the Greater Healing Scroll.)

Thats the same position I am in. Not spending much time playing and the random rs has really hit my finances. I think the only way I am going to get a good healer and freezer for a long time (over a year unless the cup prizes I get are $$$$ up there) is to go with species weapons. I am still lab training on and off now though, and am not sure when exactly to do it, I am stuck with an uni right now. I am expecting the next plot to be battle heavy though so getting major purchases done in the next few weeks will probably pay off.

My problem is that although I've had my account since 2002 - I've only been playing for a year. I just last month got a good rythem with restocking (it took me forever to get fast enough with the number pad and even longer than that to know what's rubbish and what's not) but before last month it's been a long slow crawl as far as np is concerned. I wouldn't even have that BOD if I'd not won it playing NQII.

How is the lab ray working out for you? I had HORRIBLE luck using it. By the time I finally decided to stop labbing my pet's defense was in the SINGLE DIGITS. It totally boggles my mind that there are people out there who lab their pets and ever manage to win a battle.

Oh, and I hope the next plot is battle heavy. I also hope that it's soon.

Hi, my name is off-topic I think. Smile

More off-topic: Probably the best moneymaker (unless you're a super restocker) is the stock market. Every day, buy 1000 shares of a stock at 15, and sell all the shares of that stock off when it hits 60. It's that simple. And yeah, it takes a few months to build up a nice portfolio and start seeing returns, but it's so worth it. I only wish I'd been doing it for my full seven years at Neo instead of just the past while.
