Olimars Up Special does do damage, you just have to be RIGHT on target with the person you are aiming for. I've seen it happen when he is on the ground, though I don't know if it works in the air as well.
But even his Side Special isn't that great. It's a short range attack that can easily be avoided using your shield. I like the concept behind Olimar, but I think he needs major re-working. I think he could have gone without his Down Special and replaced it with a better attack.
Oh, I know that, but I was talking about good moves that do damage. It's hard to use as recovery, and not exactly the best offensively.
A lot of things can easily be avoided with shield use (and a lot more with a spot dodge); at least his side B is quick and can do good damage when it connects. Plus, when you're in a four player free for all match, your foes can be caught off guard much easier.

It was probly me. When I get a realy good person, I keep it at 1 vs 1 for the challenge sometimes

I played against Kirby and 0407 and got pwned. Plus I think my wireless isn't too great, since every match I've played so far I have some lag.
There was one match where Kirby got four final smashes.
U-Air is amazing, Graph. I even popped one out of 0407 with a Pikmin Chain.
Of course, once Graph left I lost every time

I love Bowser now... he's big and strong but not too slow, and his attacks are almost all great (especially his tilt and running attacks). I also love his final smash. My brother and I just beat all of the co-op events on hard mode, and for #21 (where you have one life each and have to beat every character in order), he was Ganondorf and I was Bowser, and we both survived til the very end (I like playing as Pikachu or Lucario, too, but I usually die before my brother does when I use someone besides Bowser).
Which controller do you guys use? My brother likes the Gamecube one, and I prefer Wii's classic controller. I have a friend who loves the remote/nunchuck method.
I wish I could go online and play against some of you guys, but we recently upgraded to ultra-high-speed Internet here and we can't get the Wii's broadband thing to work with it.
I use Wiimote + Nunchuck, simply because I don't have a GC (and rarely played SSBM
) and I'd rather not use just a Wiimote. I had played a little bit of SSB and SSBM with friends, so it took a little while to get used to it, but it's not too bad.
I use a gamecube because im against anything wireless, and that makes me wonder why I got a wii in the first place

The Wii's wireless controllers don't have the lag that a wavebird does. Just so you know.
EDIT: Also, I use a Classic Controller. It's very nice, especially with this grip made by Nyko, which Amazon sells it for around $4.
I shifted a lot of the buttons around to match with the position of Gamecube ones, since A is where X would be located on a Gamecube controller.
A = jump
B = attack
Y = special
X = grab
L/R = shield
ZL/ZR = grab
Tap jump = off

Meh, I still prefer No-items. When I want items, I play PokeBall + Smash Ball + Assist Trophy. Time match, so starting luck is the same as ending luck.
I only use kirby cause I love his taunts
