I have just acquire Velm. I cannot decide where to put my skills.
Here's the list of skills, to save time to check the list.
Descriptions
Healing - Heals a single ally, raising that ally's hit points.
Group Healing - Heals the caster's entire group, raising all their allies' hit points (but not as much as the single-target Heal spell).
Group Shielding - Strengthens the caster's allies by increasing their magical and melee defense.
Mesmerization - Mesmerizes an enemy, causing them to be distracted for long periods. Enemies who are healed or damaged while mesmerized will become un-mesmerized.
Celestial Hammer - Strikes an enemy with a magical blow, damaging and stunning them.
Innate Melee Defense - Increases innate melee defense.
Innate Casting Haste - Increases innate spellcasting speed.
I already maxed out Group Healing and currently have
17 free skills.
Well, I can help, but my logic is not the same as most people's logic in this game. So I'll give my logic and then what the conventional logic is.
My logic is that you should max out Mesmerization and Celestial Hammer, and put 7 points into each innate. I know both of them are pretty much useless for Terask, but in between now and that big dragon, you'll save a lot of time when you can shut up three enemies and stun the fourth while you attack it. I have used that strategy many times, and it's helped me immensly.
Conventional logic is that you max Group Shielding, max ICH, and then bring IMD up to 14. I'm not a subscriber to this method for two reasons-One, the innates are just as good at 7 as they are at 15 or 14, and two, group shielding is not part of a good offensive setup.
It's up to you, really. It all comes down to Stunning or Defense?
Are you in normal/evil or insane?
I'm in evil.
At the end of my normal, I had
Maxed out: Group Healing, Mesmerization, Group Shielding.
Then 10 for Haste and 5 for Defence.
I'm on normal mode. Since I already have 15 in GH. Can't it be stunning and defence? I'm about to max out Celestial Hammer because that's what the NQII guide said.
What exactally does CH do? Is it a casting skill? or an Attack skill? Does it stun all enemies or just the one i am attacking?
I have absolutely no preference for Celestial Hammer. Besides, guides are all opinions.
How much defence do each of my characters get when I max out Group Shielding?
i don't remember...i think it was like, 37 or something.
I would use 10 points in the innates and single healing, Then work on celestial hammer (is an special attack). This in normal and evil... on insane i'm trying group shielding instead the hammer.
Why would I waste another 10 points on single healing of I already have 15 on group healing.
Update: I currently have 20 free skills for Velm.
Why would I waste another 10 points on single healing of I already have 15 on group healing.
Ok... then not 10 points.
I said it because sometimes one gets a lot of damage when the others barely receive damage. In this case if you use group healing it will underheal the damaged one and kill the opportunity of "curing" the curses (like mesmerize) your opponents throw to you.
Okay, I just put 6 skills points on Memorization to test it out.
That's leaves me 15 skill points lefted.
Currently now I have 15 on Group healing and 6 on Memorization.
What to do with the other 15?
