I currently have a jelly kau, which is a pretty good battling species, not to mention a pretty good color. HOWEVER, I only have about 600k in funds to battle with; I'm left without a decent healer.

I was wondering, should I morph my pet into a kacheek and use the kacheek species healer?

I only play one-player. Here's what I currently have:

600k
Honey Potion
Black Frost Cannon
Pike Pike
Leaf Shield
Golden Compass
Kau Knight Helmet
Downsize!
Scarab Ring
Greater Healing Scroll (ew)
Purple Sticky hand

Can anyone recommend a set for me? Or, perhaps, let me know if I should morph my pet into a Kacheek..

You do lab, I'm guessing.
If you're going to keep labbing, don't get a species healer. Obvious reasons.
I suggest you keep labbing. When you can, you might want to switch up for dual Scuzzys Combs.
And you're going to have to use that Greater Healing Scroll, and faerie abilities to heal because there isn't a good healer within your budget.

I can't recommend a good set, I'll leave that to the other forumers.

Hmm, well, I stopped labbing when I got my Jelly kau. I should keep labbing?

Since you only do 1p, then DEF isn't that important. All you have to do is maintain your level above 50 so you get Berserk Attack.

The absolute best case for KLP is that it heals you 110 hit points, if you use it at precisely 56 hit points left. Between 57 and 83 remaining hit points, it does heal slightly better than the 83 that a 50% species healer would. With GHS healing you 50, those increases aren't that substantial, so I probably wouldn't morph, at least not at a cost of your entire current budget. As you get more HP it will become a better and better option for you, but for now you are likely better off keeping either the 10% resistances or gaining the stats from labbing.
