Does anyone have a suggestion on how to beat the cave chia? Stats, weapons, abilities? Please help.
It would be more helpful knowing what your set and stats are, so we could work from there.

That said, assuming his Strength Boost matches his HP (which it may not), he would have the 55 Boost, which is a 2x multiplier. His strongest potential attack would be the Rock Sling and Spiked Club together (potentially with Fierce), which could do 22 damage. Meaning a minimum of, say, 30 HP would probably be necessary and possibly sufficient.

Secondly, for weapons and depending on your budget, Scroll of Moon Light (6-iconer) and Skeletal Fire Gun (8-iconer) would both slip past his defenses regardless. Or taking the more typical Freezebomb route would just require Muffins and Fiery Gaze/Diamond Dust/Snowglobe Staff, which looks like it would suffice as early as the 20 Boost so long as some damage was dealt on the first turn to supplement the Muffins on the second.
Just tested starting Strength on my side account:

It's 55 boost, but the Spiked Club appears likely fractional (or maybe it just hit low). Assume his maximum damage is 24 * your stance multiplier.

That means that any pet at any stats can beat him by just using an Everlasting Crystal Apple every turn. That's a whole lot more than you need to spend, but it works without knowing your stats.

He can defend all physical, and he has some defense against all icon types other than light and fire. This makes the low end offensive weapon of choice the Hand Buzzer (or the pricier upgrade Skeletal Fire Gun)

He deals mainly fire, then physical, then light and earth. This means that if you have meaningful defense (20 boost or above), Scarab Ring is well worth it here. You could just about negate his attacks with Scarab Ring + Patched Magic Hat but if you have defense high enough to make that worthwhile, you're likely to have the Str and HP that make the quick-kill offense a better option.

Now with all that in mind, let me put together a strategy for a 19hp/13str/0 def pet to try to win with cheap weapons

Snowglobe Staff for the lucky freeze
Blue Scorchstone for the heal
Downsize! obviously
Hand Buzzer cheap and it always gets 6 icons through
Fighting Folder x 2. Can be blocked, but has reasonable damage and the multihealing is important
Ultranova Rather pricey for an expendable weapon but the healing is important and it might not break on the first use.
optional: a second Ultranova or a 15-icon muffin

Turn 1: Snowglobe Staff + Hand Buzzer + Species attack. (you do 5-18 damage dependent on species and his stance and defenses)

Repeat until you get the freeze and he doesn't 1-shot KO you.

Turn 2: He's frozen, so Fighting Folder + Ultranova + Fierce (you do about 21 damage, and you also heal some). You can do significantly more damage if you're willing to spend on a 15 icon single use muffin such as Shooting Star Muffin or a second Ultranova here.

Turn 3: (assuming you are at 13+ hit points) Downsize! + Hand Buzzer + species attack (you do another 5-18 damage)

Turn 4: (assuming you are still at 5+ hit points) Fighting Folder + Hand Buzzer + Burrow (you do 5-21 points of damage)

Turn 5: Blue Scorchstone + Hand Buzzzer + Species attack (you do another 5-18 damage)

Turn 6: (if you are at 18+ hit points) Fighting Folder + Hand Buzzer + Defend (or improved defend if you have it). On average, you win this turn, but not always. If the ultranova didn't break before use it in place of a fighting folder on this turn and every remaining turn until it does break.

Turn 7+: Fighting Folder x2 + Defend (improved defend if you have it)
Thanks. Btw, my stats are actually 17 HP, 16 Str, 16 Def, but I was planning on training more before I fought him.
i managed it with some luck lol, i had:

hp: 14
str: 14
def: 14

set:
scarab ring x2
leaf shield
snowglobe staff
blue scorchstone
sticky snowball x2

abilities:
burrow

just start with trying to freeze him, if it doesent work, withdraw and try again untill you do freeze him.
then, once he is frozen throw both snowballs at him with fierce, that should do sufficent ammounts of damage, then the rest is down to scarab ring x2 and defend.
good luck Smile
Yes. Beat him. Thanks everyone.
