Intresting weapon, hard to block. Still at 12.5 the SoS might be a better value.
I'm suprized nothing got retired with the two new items.
In my opinion, SoS is a better buy for 1-P mode, simply because it does more icons at a lower price, and most enemies don't really defend just dark (unless it's a Thyoras Tear).
But since SoS is expected so much in 2-P, this could be a nice advantage for 2P since it is hard to defend against (but the damage will most likely get cancelled from burrow and sink)
Quite a nice addition to the Hidden Tower.
Pros: spontaneous, unpredictable, hard to be blocked.
Cons: Bad price considering the amount of icons delt.
did someone REALLY do buy when it is 6.5m? since bank is already close down, it is nearly impossible to buy it or for someone to letting this much NPs at hand.
zhong, I heard that people with large stock portfolio sold off big chunks to have the required amount.. other people were in the process of buying something from the Auctions, so they had a lot out as well - and other Mallers had huge shop tills to use...
There difinately WERE legitimate ways to have the nps available, as Joe10 has mentioned, but I think Neopets also did a VAST disservice to its player by releasing the item when most were disabled from having any chance at purchasing it. It again was a case of TNT helping the rich get richer. Mallers may or may not be nice enough people, but they're hardly the rank and file, and most many make their nps by fleecing new or inexperienced buyers, and don't get much respect here. Further, unless or until we're told what TNT did to solve the breakdown and correct the inequities that it created, the move likely benefited those who exploited the problem to inflate their nps, while barring most of the rank and file players of the game.
I think TNT also does a disservice to Neopets users by simply ignoring their problems, not explaining them, nor how they've dealt with them in the news. It's not like we're all so stupid we didn't notice that there was a problem.

Very true. I highly doubt that TNT will go through all the trouble of tracking all the money that was glitched and taking them away. I know of malls that were "cleared out", receiving millions of dollars in profits everyday. TNT has yet to remove the money from their till. Some have already taken it out, and used it. Nothing has happened to them.
cool... thats a nice weopen but sos might be a better buy

They did mention it in the editorial, which is where they address a lot of issues like this.
Hey, what's happened to the Neopian Bank? It's been down for two days now and I can't find any info as to why it's shut down or when it will be back up. ~ davidpierce
We're very sorry about that. There was a glitch that was discovered by some players that would cause Neopoints to double. Some players horribly abused this glitch, making billions of Neopoints, then proceeded to attempt to inflate items in the economy. To stop the damage to the economy we had to take down the Trading Post and Auction House, along with the bank. The players that maliciously used the glitch are being tracked down and frozen so they can no longer harm the economy and ruin the site for everyone else. Rest assured that, if you didn't abuse the glitch, your Neopoints are safe and will still be in the bank when it's back up and running, though we don't believe we can compensate for lost bank interest. We're very sorry that the actions of unscrupulous Neopians have dampened your Neopets experience for the past few days.
Please note, also, that the glitch was caused by something we did on our side, so despite anyone trying to "take credit" for the bank glitch, we're afraid it was our bad.

Who knows if they'll actually get all the doubled NP back, though.
Seems like a nice weapon. somewhat ruins tanks. terrible buy for one player. SOS is a worse buy.
