Can't say I like those rules much:

Your contribution to your team's standings depends upon how well you play Yooyuball, with the calculation being based primarily on the processor and rendering speed of your computer. Since we purposefully go out of our way to keep rabid from ever getting any worthwhile plot prizes, this seemed the most fair way to do it after we saw his posts about recent computer issues.
I hate the darigan yooyu. Do you know a way to use it better until now i just try to make a goal but usually the other team get it.
keeper blocks where you look like your shooting, go to an edge of the net, look like your shooting into it, and aim the opposite angle into the top
I just let the other team score with the darigan ball (and faerie) - all other balls I can score easy with so no point in letting one point last 2 minutes!
I generally win 99% of the time, with a minimum goal difference of 2. I even won 7-0 a few times.
Fire: Be accurate. Even behind the halfway line you can score, just aim carefully.
Snow: Be closer, but otherwise the same.
Normal: Between the Fire and Snow range? Shooting from the halfway line works too.
Clockwork: Dash up quickly. Fire like the Snow Yooyu, but you only have one shot, or it will blow up too quickly to get back. Even so, smacking it into the keeper and watching him/her blown off the field is fun.
Those were the "Straight", predictable Yooyus.
Darigan: Bleh. Imagine a line drawn through the midpoints of both goals. If you shoot straight forward/backward, it goes normally. Shooting perpendicular to this line results in the Yooyu going in the opposite direction you're facing. Shooting, say NW taking your goal as east, will result in you shooting SW. SE --> NE. Using this, it's easy to use the same strategy for the "Straight" Yooyus, just adjusting the angle (sometimes awkwardly) to score.
Mutant: Shooting straight across the opponent's goal, hoping it will curve in, seems to work. If not, I use a 1-2 strategy, having 2 players stand at either side of the goal, one passing to the other. The goalkeeper should be left flat-footed, and a nice half-open goal is left to shoot into. Quickly.
Faerie: For some reason, last year's AI for this Yooyu was easier to score with. The only way I can score with this Yooyu is to use the 1-2.
Thank you all.
I do it better now. The fun thing, faerie yooyu is the hardest to me now.
My max is 7-1.
Darigan ball - finally got it! follow the outside line of the goal from the centre point as it points back the goal and just when the line turns - shoot! Strike rate is about 80% plus
My hardest is now the snow - it is slow.......
thanks for the hints everyone! i've been outa practice.. this darn laptop is so hard to play on!
Since I don't think it was mentioned: the Faerie Yooyuball curves in the direction of the top-or-bottom half of the court you're in. (If you're in the top half, it curves towards the top if you're shooting left-or-right, whereas it will go straight up or down if shot those directions.) I was always getting mine intercepted when trying to shoot straight-on.
