I have been alerted to a severe condition on Neopets. Currently, a bank glitch has enabled people to duplicate Neopoints and some individuals are currently spreading them around in an attempt to get people frozen. Be careful accepting trades and items from others. It is recommended you do not accept items from strangers and do not accept overbids on trades.

You now get this message when visiting the trading post, auction house, or bank now. Hopefully they'll have the glitch fixed soon.
Whoa, the BDC was an outrage since it started... Now TNT has closed some parts of the site (the bank and the auctions, as far as I know) and it's getting back to normality....
I guess they'll be some mayor freezes, as some people have made gazillions of np's and messed some prices (see Fifty dubloon coin for an example)

I did a few tests a few hours back with 1np and nothing seems wrong.
But I hope I didn't stumble on it accidentally yesterday. I did a lot of depositing in the bank last night (stocks from EEEE and from games) and maybe I didn't notice my nps doubling already.

The glitch was only while upgrading your account.
I am not sure that they have the capacity to do a roll back anymore. The amount of data that they would need to store for several million accounts would be crazy.
I believe the announced that they would not be doing roll backs in the future, but that was just something that I had heard on the BDC.
Hopefully neo decides to do something about codestone/dubloon inflation anyways, but at least it appears that only a few items prices where damaged.

I believe they answered that one in the latest editorial, where they basically said "...we don't control the economy." aka Take no responsibility for inflation, nor curing it.

One guy that was abusing the glitch was frozen, but made a new account and was on the boards talking about how he had 220 million in his bank account. Wow.
Thereby proving the old adage that some people have more money than sense....
