Hi!

I'm new to these forums, and pretty new to battling, so I'm not entirely sure how this works. Basically, I'm just looking for some help in upgrading my current healing item in my battle set.

My pet is level 34, with HP 65.

I was using a Greater Healing Scroll, but I was wonderiing if there is anything else out there that has a better chance of healing up to 60, or even 65 (So I don't have to upgrade again in the near future)

Price isn't really an issue, I just noticed that the scroll isn't really healing more than 30 or 40 each time, and I would have been able to beat the Moach a few more times with even an extra 5 or 10 HP.

Thanks Smile
The problem with the Greater healing scroll, is that it doesn't Overheal. That means you have to be missing 50 or more of your total Hp in order to get the full heal out of it. For me, with 112 Hp this isn't an issue in the slightest. For you, it may be more so. If you can, wait until you have 15 Hp or less remaining before you heal.

If you can't do that, and price really isn't an issue with you, there are a few options:

1. A purple Scorchstone. These heal the same 50 Hp as the GHS, but they do over heal, leaving a considerable difference with an Hp level like yours. problem is that they cost somewhere in the millions, if I remember correctly. If you want the over heal of scorch stones and really and truly mean that price is not an issue (as in you have millions to spend on every weapon) The Rainbow Scorchstone works the same way and heals 80 Hp.

2. A Short Sleeved Yellow Tunic. This tunic, if your pet has over 500 INT heals you 75 Hp, once per battle. Again, the downside here is cost. It's about 1.5 million on it's own, and then the books to get your pet to that Int from scratch are about another 1.5 mill. Alternatively, you can use a scroll potion and steal INT from other pets to get that much. Downsides include the INT requirement, and the fact that it also doesn't over heal, so it won't be useful until around 100 Hp or so.

3. A Species Healer. There are several species healers out there. Kacheek Life potion is the most common, and gelert healing remedy is the cheapest. The useful ones, except the Klp heal 50% of your maximum Hp, so these aren't better than the GHS until you have 101 Hp, but they will grow with you. Downside is that they are species only, and if you lab or don't want to change species, you can't really use one. You could, however, get the bag of healing dust which heals the same 50% for about 9 million np.

Good Luck picking something out that suits you. There are more Species healers out there, but it's quite a long list, so you may just want to check into those yourself. They're listed under species weapons on the IDB main site.

Your Greater Healing Scroll does heal 50hp every time, but it doesn't show that 50 unless you have 50 of your health points not remaining.
You have 65, so if you heal when you 20hp remaining, it will heal you (65-20) 45 hit points and then damage will be done to you.
If you have 30hp remaining, the GHS will heal you to 65, so it will heal you 35 hitpoints and then stop.
If you have 10hp, however, it will heal you the full 50hp to 60total.
For a healer like Purple Scorchstone, it will heal 50hp all of the time, except it costs 1,300,000NP according to iDB.  The difference, is, however, that the Scorchstone overheals (also called healing after damage).  So, if you have 30 of your 65 HP remaining, and you heal, it will go to 80 HP.  Then, your opponent will do his/her damage and it will reduce your health by that.  So, if your opponent does 25 damage, it would be 80-25 and then you would have 55 HP remaining at the end of the round.
With the GHS, if you have 30 of your HP remaining, and you heal, it will heal you to 65hp and then stop.  In the same situation as above, you would have 30hp, you would heal to 65, then your opponent would do the 25 damage.  65-25=35, so at the end of the round you would have 35 health remaining, unlike the 55 had you used the other healer.
If you use the Purple SS, and it overheals (to 80 in the previous case), but your opponent only does 5 damage, you would not get to keep the extra health, it would go to your max (65).

Now, if you have lost more than 50 health in a battle the difference between the scorchstone of the GHS isn't there.
Case 1: You have 10/65 HP and you heal with the GHS.  You then go to 60/65HP and your opponent does 15 damage.  You would have 45HP at the end of the round.
Case 1: You have 10/65HP and you heal with the Purple SS. You then go to 60/65HP and your opponent does 15 damage.  You would have 45HP at the end of the round.

I hope that makes sense.  Here are is a list of possible healers:
Purple Scorchstone - ~1,300,000 NP - 50hp (Overheal)
Glittery Scorchstone - ~5,000,000 NP - 100hp (Overheal) [apparently iDB is wrong and it costs 200mil actually...thanks e4e5]
Green Scorchstone - ~500,000 NP - 40hp (Overheal)
Rainbow Scorchstone - ~4,000,000 NP - 80hp (Overheal)

And then there are also species healers, but I wouldn't worry about those until you have more HP.
GHS is your only option atm really since species healers are not yet worthwhile, and the overheal from scorchstones isn't worth it.

Btw, glittery scorchstone is ~200mil (!)
Glittery Scorchstone is, as far as I know not only far and away above 200 mill, it's not available for purchase. To the best of my knowledge, only one has been bought that wasn't put on ice, and that is currently locked in pez's gallery. I've also been told that pez has rejected offers of dual FSS for the glittery SS, but that I'm not so sure of. It is, however, for sure not a weapon that is available to the above average neopian, let alone the average one. That's why I listed Rainbow SS (which costs 4.5-5 mill I'm learning) as the best non-full healing scorchstone.
