And I think my rating speaks for me when I say that I'm a tad more inclined towards the Medallion than towards Mystical White Cloak, given the latter's a shield. However, overall with your set I'm not convinced it's actually a "good" set: you're putting in effort to be able to hit every icon type, but I don't think that's going to ultimately be best. Several icon types simply aren't common at your level of battling (neither Wand is likely to be used often).
On the other hand, I'd want to run a full comparison chart to be entirely sure of my perspective. The thing to keep in mind: even if you're blocking part of your opponent's attack, you need to be dealing more damage to your opponent than your opponent's dealing to you. As far as the Medallion is specifically concerned (and if it weren't for the one icon it has on
Psellias Blessing), the only things it will "win" against are Sword of the Dead/Ethereal Sword, Winged Scarab, and Psellias Blessing. A full-hitting Jittery Jipple Potion is still going to be hitting you with 7 against the 6 you're potentially dealing. Since each of the weapons I listed are dual-duties themselves, their use and frequency will already be less. (On the other hand, I still recommend Ethereal Sword to your range of battlers. However, an opponent wouldn't gain anything by using it against you.)
I think you may want to reconsider your distribution of weapon icons. It looks like you chose weapons that will do a little damage from each icon type and block a little damage from each. Personally, I would not try to do this. It's nice to be able to block every icon in a decent amount, but it is not nice when this requires multiple shields and a weak offense. This would only really be effective if you had a really high defense boost so you could block a lot of damage with fewer icons.. I think that it would be better to just accept that you will receive some damage and then focus on just giving out more...
About the swapping of weapons - I don't think I would. The Scarab Ring and Cloak might actually be a good combo. But once again, I don't think you are delivering enough icons (6) when you could afford many more.

I'll keep the MWC as Scarab can only do 6 icons offense . If it's 7 icons I'll use it .
MWC + Leaf Shield + species ability act as first round and last round combo nicely
