I just score 5,180 in Points Bruno's Backwoods Breakaway, but I had 0 life left.  Will I be able to get the trophy?

You need to be in the top 17 or so to get a trophy

I also recently got my Faerie Caves 2 gold trophy doing the same. FC2, CB2, and Bruno's Escape HST work differently from the others.

Faerie Caves 2, Chia Bomber 2, Grand Theft Ummagine and Bruno's Backwood Escape all give gold trophies at trophy handout when you get the max score.

FC2 - 1520
CB2 - 1687
BBE - 5180
GTU - 1250

They changed it like this 2 months ago I think.

Yep, your right. I just checked and I got the gold trophy.

I am now rank 61.

all games with max point limit will give an gold trophy and 750 np per every day that month to everybody who gets the maxscore
