I think iDB is really great but there are a couple of things that I think would be pretty cool...

1. Species/Pet ratings/commentary?
iDB has a pretty informative section on Species Weapons, Abilities, and Weakness/Resistance.. Well I was thinking that it would be pretty cool if the iDB Raters could rate pets based on those different things: abilities, weakness, resistance, and weapons...
So when you click on the species type, it would be like a weapon rating on the side 0 the raters comment on the species type.  So, Lennies would get high ratings because of their weapons, Kau would probably get high because of the resistance, and then Ixi/Korbat/Usul would be lower because they have weaknesses and not the best abilities...

2. State whether a healer heals like a scroll or a scorchstone (heals before or after damage...)
I don't think it would be too hard to label what healers over heal and which don't.. but it would help a lot.  When a pet has low HP, over-heal is really important, so it would be nice to know before a purchase.
Or are non-full-healing scorchstones the only over-healers?

Also, how hard would it be to include full blockers in a search of defended icons? Like if you put "3 air and 3 physical" defense, would it be possible to make something like Winged Scarab show up? Maybe check an option?

Maybe also have it display price/rating when you do an advanced search? I know with a regular search it does, so it cant be much different, can it?

I like the idea for #1.

#2, as far as I know, is in the works.

I'll second liking idea number one. I don't see any reason we can't do that, and I can see where it would be useful.

I really like the first idea as well and think we should push towards making it happen. Its a great idea. As for the coding i think it would be a bit of work. We would need to take the rating system and then change weapons to pets. I don't know how easy that would be to pull off. i am thinking theres much more to just changing the weapon to a pet. :/

I also like the idea for #1. I'm not sure that a 1-10 rating scale would be appropriate, but certainly discussion of the merits of various species would be worthwhile.
