One of them are required for their range, there is a part where you need to kill a really far monster. I cannot reach that monster using assaulter.

Edit: I'm no ranger or sniper but I'm pretty sure they don't get any new range bonuses....I could fill the range slot as well

I have maxed keen eyes, I am a person, and I have beaten stages 1-2 before
