I need some serious help. I'm not a big BDer, but recently I've started getting more interested in it. My pet is currently at the 35 boost and I have crappy weapons. My set consists of a bronze scorchstone, gold handled katana, electro sword and scarab ring x2. Anyone have any suggestions for some upgrades? My budget is limited to under 500k atm. Thanks for reading.
Well, your set is fine as is except for the healer. You should upgrade your healer to either blue scorchstone if your HP is under 40, or greater healing scroll if your HP is over 40. You could try getting some additional defense with a cheap downsize!. I also recommend getting jade staff or its upgrade, golden compass to protect against opposing scarab rings, since your 2 swords are weak against scarab rings. Leaf shield is also an option for this.

Lastly, some upgrades for your main multiuse attackers include: essence of esophagor, scuzzys comb, ice club. For one player, get a purple sticky hand and maybe a cheap freezer e.g. snowglobe staff. For two player, try steaming skeem potion.
Okay. This is what I think that you should do to your battleset. Smile

Firstly, I will discuss the constants that you are using.
That gold handled katana and electro sword are good weapons. Both doing 8 icons, and not bad value for price, they are definitly worth having. However, the main lower level weapons of today are now the 9 iconers. I am not sure whether you are doing 1 player or 2 player, so I am just going to assume that you are doing 2 player for this. You would be best to upgarde both these weapons to the 9 iconers. Because you can afford it, I would suggest getting 2 of the Golden Compass's. These not only attack with icons that are pretty much impossible to completly block with any of the shields at this level, but also have some dark defence that will really help you as you go through this battle level. Dark isn't extremly common, but some weapons like the Ramtors Spellbook and the very popular Scarab Ring do a little dark, so the defence in the compasses can be useful. With dual compasses, you would be blocking half the attack of the RSB. I'd actually keep the gold handled katana as well if I was you, because this will add a little icon diversity into your set.

The bronze scorchstone isn't very good in your set, because it only heals 15 hitpoints, which is likely to be less than half of your pets maximum hitpoints. I am not sure how many hitpoints you have, but because war inflation at the moment has increased the price on healers, and you are on a budget, I think your best move would be to just get a Lesser Healing Scroll for now, which heals 25 hitpoints. Once prices on weapons have gone down again, then go for the Greater Healing Scroll.

You also need some defence items in your set, as well as those compasses. Definitly get a Downsize!. Also, get either a Leaf Shield Or a Patched Magic Hat. Because of your budget, just get which ever is the cheapest option at this stage. Smile

Also, a Purple Sticky Hand will help you out. Put it in your first slot, so that if anybody uses one against you then that is all they get back. Often, opponents just put junk in their first slot, but sometimes you will get lucky. Smile
