I used to be a low-end intermediate battler, before I self froze my account. That was about a year ago, and the face of the Battledome has changed in that amount of time. So much that the weapons I used to use in the beginning aren't as useful nowadays.

I'm holding off on training and weapon buying until after the plot, so I can buy everything at their normal prices. But I thought it would be a good idea to get a shopping list together on what weapons I should pick up to improve the set.

Note that Smalldra's stats are low, since I didn't decide to battle until after the plot started. So the only increases were from Coltzan and Faerie quests.

That's definitely possible. For starters, you can get a Purple Sticky Hand and Downsize!, which, in my opinion, are vital for all battles. A healer at this point is unnecessary because you have your Slime Potion and Mud Mixture, both of which give you health when you use them. All of your weapons are useful right now, so keep them. After the Purple Sticky Hand and Downsize! I mentioned earlier, you'd have about 30K left to get weapons, so I'd go for an Earth Faerie Slingshot if I were you, since you'd probably save up some more money by then.

If I were you, I would sell my Leaf Shield now and then re-buy it after the war... you said you don't need weapons til after the plot, so you dont need it

I never said i didn't need weapons. What I said was that I wasn't going to buy new weapons till after the plot. I may still want to go a few rounds with the Chia Clown between now and then.

Okay 40k, non-war prices, starter set, shoyru doesn't really help here.

Snowglobe Staff - This is your freezer. It's going to be frustrating, but you're going to have to deal
Downsize - all purpose 1/battle defense
Slime Potion - Adequate healer for now. As you train more HP, upgrade to Lesser Healing Scroll or Blue Scorchstone)
Leaf Shield - it's still solid and you already have it
Scarab Ring - it's still crazy good and you already have it
Battle Ready Pencil Box - currently the cheapest 7 iconer.
Fighting Folder - if this is too much, double up on the pencil box instead, but the multihealing is phenomonal for low stat pets
Final slot is either Purple Sticky Hand or Mud Mixture, depending on whether the opponent has a useful stealable item.

Rabid's set is pretty decent though, i can't think of anything to add. If you only one-player, you might be better off using some of your budget on training with cheap dubloons (glad they are given out by coltzan) and just sticking to dual scarab rings (maybe a 7 or 8 iconer) + the given items you already have.

IF you have already spent too much, you might want to look at Bone Sceptre, the cheapest 6 iconer there is.
