Is there a way I can get 2 more defense points for my pet? (besides waiting for the water faerie). Neggs or something. Even if it's expensive, it will help a LOT.
I have a pet that I labbed for a while. Right now his defense is a lousy 2 points short of the next boost. it's 53 and 1.5 now, at 55 it will go to 2. I'm trying to kill the ghostercheif, but all my defense rots. And at this point, training is not reasonable.
Agility : 99
Attack Strength : 126
Defence Strength : 53
Current hp: 189 / 189
Level : 25
Thanks for any help!
Well, you could try a Bomberry Elixir or Cooling Balm of the Warrior. Check the stats of each item on IDB and then check the Shop Wizard to see which would be more cost-effective at the moment.
uh except for the 2 options listed above (bomberry elixir and cooling balm of the warrior), silver knight negg would also be a solid choice although all 3 options are extremely expensive for a rushed 2 defence.
instead of training, you should do 10 kquests a day for 5 days...in less than those 5, statistically you should have your +2 defense. It's perhaps a few days slower, but you'll save some np

Even the 55 defence boost isn't going to help you much against the ghostkerchief; his strength boost is just too high and he'll overpower any shield you use. Use a
double dryer instead -- it'll reflect the air from the gsword and actually damage him. He can only use the gbomb once per battle now, so you could try to time your burrow properly and it wouldn't be an issue. If you use the dryer, a freezer, burrow and sink, and a downsize! or thick smoke bomb, he won't get much of a chance to hit you, anyway.
Thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking of buying him a good defensive weapon, and realized the weapon would be so much better if I could just get those 2 defense pts. It would be worth the nps.
I bought a few bomberry elixirs. The first 2 blew up because he couldnt drink them fast enough. I'm thinking mabye the pet has to be less than bloated so I'll wait a bit for the rest.
I've been doing kitchen quests for the last 2 weeks, and only got one stat increase. It went to the right pet, but just raised his level. Or maybe that was from coltzan.
I'd have to train this guy 80 more levels before I start anything else... that's about 1,200,200 np. not exactly but its too many nps and time now. I'm training another pet now instead. I also stopped labbing him because he's a marshmallow now, with a fire petpet; I like him too much.
Thank you all for your help! it's just what I needed.

Okay, you are currently 70 levels shy of being able to train defense. You want 2 points of defense. That's not trivial, but it's not prohibitive yet.
I'm going to assume you can find Bomberry Elixirs at 40k, which is a little below the current price, I'll further assume they have a 25% of giving a def point. That means you have an expected cost of 160k per def point to train that way, or 320k to get 2 defense points. That still works out to slightly cheaper than SK Neggs, and it's the best option if you want to stop at 55 def.
However if you want to keep training defense past 55, you're going to have to bite the bullet and train level NOW, while it will only cost you about 1.1 Million to catch up (15x 5 Dubllon + 200x Codestone). Doiing that will let you train defense at 4 or 5 codestones per point, and the 20k-30k that will cost will save you ~130k per point over using elixirs, meaning that if you are ever planning on training all the way up to 62 defense (or higher),
it's still cheaper for you to level than to use stat-increasers!

Thanks Cranberry, I missed your post. I've been using burrow, sink, and downsize! and he survives those rounds, but not the next. I was so tickled to see the 50% air block on that double drier.
Not even block,
reflect. That's even better! You can do quite a bit of damage to him with his own icons.

way many nps (maybe 10 potions) later:
Lvl : 25
Str : 126
Def : 55
Mov : 99
Hp : 15 / 190
And... Yes, he's at the academy studying now.
I've gone through a few double driers, and can last longer with the ghostercheif, but in the end he gets me for 125 one last time...
wow, that's expensive training :/
just do 10 k-quests per day (maybe under 8k only) and your pet's stats (all of them) will increase a lot over a period of time
ghostkerchief needs to be frozen twice, ideally
once with diamond dust, then with a 100% freezer
he can reflect icons so he can be a bit hard to beat when not frozen...
