So, it looks like TNT has been working towards making this plot as individualized, puzzle-wise, as possible. It seems like pooling strategies for puzzles might be extremely helpful for some people, as simply posting screenshots or coordinates isn't going to get you quite as far this time around.

For the Time Tunnel-esque puzzle, what strategies have people been using? I'd suggest writing down each combination you try, because there's no time limit (that I could see), and actually seeing what worked in the past and to what extent can be extremely helpful.

Seconded.

Once you've determined the specific symbols in the combination (i.e. 2 of the 1st symbol, 1 of the 2nd, etc.), it's just a matter of copying down the combinations you try and working out the solution from that data via elimination.
Here's what I do:

I place in 1111 first. Depending on how many lights went up, leave those and go to the next (e.g. if 2 lights went up, do 1122). Keep doing until you find how many of each you need. Then it's elimination.

This one IMO is harder than time tunnel because you won't see the earlier guesses you made. Better to write them down, but it will be more time consuming
The strategy I have seen posted on the Neopets Charter Board is a good one:

"Line up all symbols of one type, click center and find out how many of those are used as the lock code. Go around until you know how many of each symbol are used.

When you count a total of green lights equal to the number needed for the code (5 for puzzle 2, 6 for puzzle 3), STOP! The rest of the symbols won't be in the puzzle.

Using this method, lets say you have 2 of 2 symbols and 1 of each of two others (for the third puzzle). Set the bottom two rows of one symbol and the next of the other two. Leave the top two rows blank. Hit button. How many are green? Switch around until you get all four green. At most, you will need two moves to place your last two symbols. There is a little luck but this helps "

It is a little simpler and more systematized than what I was initially trying. Hope it helps you.

That's pretty much what I did. Once you have what every symbol is, keep trying combinations until you get it. If you're lucky, only a few symbols will be used.

I'm going to love seeing the people at PPT who posted screenshots of their ship luggage puzzle hoping people would solve it for them do this one. Big Grin
Took me about 30 minutes to complete. I got frustrated on the last one, and then I reread the time tunnel guide, got my mind clear and got it done two tries after that, maybe first. Luck also plays a roll.
I don't know anything about these puzzles. I'm totally lost. Could you guys post the links? Or is that allowed?
Just did all three; it was pretty easy. Reminds me of the old neopets game, Code Breakers (anyone remember that game? Big Grin)

If anyone needs help, I'll try and see what I can do.. Cept it'll be hard without being able to do it myself..
All three? As in the cleaning up the deck?
Oh, I guess I should have asked...is anyone still stuck on the first puzzle? There was a solver program site posted on the Neoboards, though I'm not sure how well it worked for people.
Weee, don't worry about people doing it for you. Its easy. Put mops and anchors first since they are the hardest to fit. Fit around them and it should be easy.
