First, I realize that editorials aren't set in stone, but let's pretend we can believe them
Second, let me give a working definition of "hypothesis" for the Purpose if this thread:
A hypothesis is an idea which attempts to explain the way something works. A hypothesis is based on facts, but does not need to be certain, it needs only be an attempt to explain the informantion availblein a logical manner.
Third, let me explain what I mean by style:
In Neopian Times Editorial 264, TNT claims that they "do all plots differently." I'm pretty sure they decided that sometime after the first ones they mentioned in there, and thought of explainations of how those plot/wars were different for the sake of the editorial, but I'll give them the benfit of the doubt that they plan to follow this.
. That fact, however, begs the question "How is this one different?" that's what I mean by "style"
My favorite one: The puzzles are largely insignificant, a means of getting to the challengers, which will give most of the points. The challengers may or may not all only have 1 use weapons, and may or may not have win limits (although they'd be fairly high, if the puzzles don't mean anything)
while this plot/ war has not gone on long enough to really see a "pattern," here are some of the facts which lead me to support this hypothesis:
-The puzzle was extremely easy, and had a direct link to it, as opposed to the "hidden puzzles" of the LDP and HWP.
-There were no "to be continued" signs, like in the HWP, which TNT said they'd keep. (can't remember the exact editorial on that one, but I definately remember them saying it)
-Unlike the HWP, where battling played a relatively minor role, TNT fixed up the BD lag for us to bugcrunch.
Thoughts/ comments other hypothesises?
