I have gbomb, hp, sos, rsb, sc, blue ss, leaf shield, and fpot.
I am still fairly new to battling so I am not sure what needs to stay and what I need to replace.

You have some NICE weapons. The G-Bomb is great (best bomb). SOS is a FINE attacker for the #1 or #2 slots in your battleset. The Honey Potion is another once per battle bomb, this is more questionable, as you have a better bomb. Ramtors and Scuzzys are o.k. weapons, but not in the class of the top of your set. The Blue Scorchstone is AWFUL....you've way outgrown this item. A Greater Healing Scroll would be an immediate upgrade, but more importantly, you need to provide some additional information to get better help. What species is your pet? (it may have a species healer), do you use the lab ray? Do you plan on keeping your pet this species? And what is your budget (nps on hand) to make additional changes. The Leaf Shield is not a great weapon, but useful and inexpensive and usually worth having to rotate into the last slot in your set based on opponent (getting the following inexpensive items would be helpful to rotate in with it - Scarab Ring, Purple Sticky Hand and Downsize! All are CHEAP. Freezing Potion is VERY good.
In general, you have ONE good attacker, a great bomb, a good freezer, an AWFUL healer (far and away your weakest point, and the one that addressing will help the most), and other items that have some battle use, but aren't on a par with the top three times you have and which, depending upon species, budget, etc. may well want to be shifted.
I think I would sell one of those other main weapons (RSB or SC) and sell the Blue SS and then buy a species morphing potion and a species healer...
Gelert (Gelert Healing Remedy)
Kacheek (Kacheek Life Potion)
Elephante (Elephante Unguent)
If you don't want to morph, you may consider a Greater Healing Scroll over your Blue SS
The SS seems like the weakest part of your set...
After upgrading the healer, I would get a better main weapon.
However, it seems the step up from 10 icons to 11 icons is very expensive. When you get some money, sell the HP (right now it's okay but since you have G-Bomb (which is amazing I might add)already it may not be want you need) and your other multiple use weapons (RSB and SC if you haven't already) and look into some constant 13 icon weapons like Bow of Destiny or Wand of Reality
What will improve your battling by order of cost (what to do first, really):
-Healer (minimum GHS but preferably species healer)
-Second 13+ weapon (remember, you can put the cost of HP+one other weapon towards this new weapon as when you have 2 main attackers above 13 icons HP looses usefulness)
-Train Train Train (defense to strength too?)
-Ghostkershield (if you get your defense to strength)
-Pirate Captains Cutlass (great pair with ghostkershield or SoS)
