you dont need good stats at all cause i have extremely low stat pet and i still have beaten it for 39 times and still going on

i have a 82 hp pet, a 55 boost in stregnth and 35 dfence bost, i only got to fight to fight him 33 times so far, and i never lost, his stupid slorg slime like defends alot against me cuz i use dual scuzzys comb, i am going to beat him about 50 i hope
