About time we got to see an accurate statistic. I guess my thirty-thousand guess might have been low. Then again, I think I was trying to factor in "active" players rather than just random people logged on or viewing the page.

If it's any comfort to the people who don't like the look of thier pets any more, we MIGHT be getting the old looks back.

I have mixed feelings on this.

Basically, TNT just went ahead and "fixed" what wasn't broken in the first place. I don't see any problem with leaving the old sidebar as it was. It sure was less bandwidth intensive. They should've put more consideration in for those who don't have fast connections and large monitors with a wide enough resolution. Or at least have the option to revert it back. The new skin just seems so much less friendly-looking.

Arg I hate this new laout so much, it's cluttered, too busy, and takes forever to load. I hope they make this an option not permanent.

I hate it. I really don't have time to elaborate (going to the movies in... right now, actually), but I hate it. Especially the HUGENESS of everything. And my uglified pets. And the giant sidebar. And userlookups. And...

It seems to be broken, actually. Every Pet is saying that, from what I'm aware.


Also, I just had a startlingly good revelation hit me: what if TNT made an instant messenger in the sidebar? (Like the one in Gmail, even though I've never used it.)

And there goes 90% of neos population. The restockers hate it cuz the clock isn't there. The Preemies hate it cuz the portal is now insane, and worst of all, the avatar chat has gone insanely mad! Okay maybe that's a good thing. But still, you get my point, right?

I highly doubt that. Sure, a few people are quitting, but the reality will sink in (it always does), and most of them will be back.

Then there's the whole, "TNT is doing this for money," argument, which further suggests any dent in Neo's active membership won't be noticed.

What has me sad is that I've already had one friend jump onto the quitting boat because of this. TNT's screwed up a lot worse before, and this one isn't even that bad (every war since the original Meridell, anyone?). The only real problem is the Pet appearances, and TNT already told us to wait into next week for some reason.

Can I be a partypooper and say that, in my my monitor resolution of 1024x768, everything looks SO GOOD? *hides*

My pet look a tad too small, and my awesome userlook up looks bad now, but hey, it's still in the BETA stages of things, people. Just be patient about it.
