Species: Baby Pteri
Level:40
Strength:35
Defence:45
Agility:35
Endurance:80
My current set
Sparkshooter
PCC
SOS
PKiln
G-bomb
G-shield
Short Sleeved Yellow Tunic
H4000 Helmet
I do a mix of 1 player and 2 player
Oh and I don't want to train my strength boost
My questions are...
1. Should I get a 55 defense boost?
2. Should I get a RoTL instead of PKiln
Thanks for your help

Is the Sparkshooter there so that if somebody steals what it is in your first slot, they get a Sparkshooter?
I wouldn't get a
Ring of the Lost because you already have a
Ghostkershield which blocks dark like the RoTL does, plus the shield blocks a lot more. And you really don't need the damage that the RoTL will do in your set, because you have enough stronger offensive weapons. Also, if you do train to that 55 defence boost, then the Ghostkershield would be even stronger making there be little reason to choose a RoTL over it.

Yea
Yea I get what you're saying. So do you think I should get the 55 defense boost to make the shield more useful?

Umm... You DEFINATELY Don't need an upgrade. Your 35 boost pet's set Is MUCH better than my 250 boost's set. My recimendations are
1. TRAIN!
2. Train some more!
3. TRAIN!
4. TRAIN CONSTANTLY!
5. TRAIN!
6. when you're paying 4 codestones, Train with K-Quests, too.
7. TRIAN!
8. Did I remember to mention Terror trove scratch cards? 6 a day.
9. TRIAN!
10. You get the idea.
Edit: On a more serious note... I WOULD recomend training strength defense and HP equally because you do some 2-p, and also because it'll pay off in the long run if you have big goals for 1-p. It doesn't pay off for a while, but it will eventually.
I know you said you didn't want to train your Strength, but as a thought to consider: your Defense Boost doesn't mean much in One Player, and given the sheer power of your set, training would change Two Player strategy more than weapons, and mostly just due to the HP increase.
Though I'd suggest sticking with G-Shield over RotL given that you're doing Two Player and planning to train your defense, RotL would do better in One Player over the shield.

Hmm maybe after I play around a little at 35 boost I"ll train evenly
I know you said you didn't want to train your Strength, but as a thought to consider: your Defense Boost doesn't mean much in One Player, and given the sheer power of your set, training would change Two Player strategy more than weapons, and mostly just due to the HP increase.

Hmm I'll think about that. So I shouldn't get to 55 boost cause it doesn't matter in one player?
You'd probably be best to get both defence and strength up to at least the 55 boost
You might also find it more enjoyable to battle at a higher boost, than at the 35 boost. With that strong set, you must be winning battles pretty much instantly.
I disagree on the part that you are not training STR as that is almost the most important factor of BD-ing.
You set it good, keep up the good work, except train to at least a 85 Boost. You might also want to use Purple Sticky Hand instead of the Sparkshooter. That's the most common stealer so you would expect people using it. They use theirs and they get a Purple Sticky Hand back. =)
Just a suggestion.
People say they don't understand why leaving a sticky hand there works as an anti stealer, and if your opponent has an HRoT, it makes no sense at all. But if they're using a % stealer, they get a stealer back and have just wasted a bunch of turns. If you don't plan on using your stickyhand, I would suggest going for a red or blue, as they have lower stealing percentages than purple.
Basically, train. N00binators are annoying, as are tanks. Train str and defence evenly until the 125 boost, or so.
As far as weapon suggestions go, if you want to pick up an RoTL, you might want to replace your G-shield with a Tabard. It blocks some different icons, and stops at least part of some very common backup items for people who expect to deal with a G-Shield, and since the RoTL is already dealing with full dark blocking, you can afford to move elsewhere.
Once again, train.

It matters in Two Player, which you said you do. Defense matters in One Player at around the 550 Defense Boost. (Anything below that, in One Player, is generally going to be overrun since you'll almost always be fighting stronger opponents.)
If you do not plan on going past the 35 boost for 2p, I recommend training a second pet for 1p.
If you want to tank your pet and only fight based on str boost, I would train defense and HP as high as possible, not just stopping at the 55boost, I would consider going to the 125+ boost.
For 1p you want to have a high strength boost, and a high HP. You should also train defense if someday you plan on being above the 550-600 Defense boosts, since like he said, thats the level when it actually starts to matter. Or you could just keep training your current pet, although it seems like there are less opponents for 2p battling as you get into the 200 stats range.
As far as your set goes, I would put FTab in your sparkshooter slot. If your opponent is not tanked, its going to take a small nick out of your PCC, but if you use SoS + PCC you are going to be out iconing them by far. If you use your GSheild + SoS you are going to most likely out damage them. I can't think of anything that would combo with the FTab to do more damage than your remaining weapons.
In addition, the FTab is actually useful as opposed to a sparkshooter, which will always be useless. FTab + GSheild is hard to get through when tanked.
Otherwise the only thing I would change about your set would be to upgrade PCC to GSword and then to peas if you ever reach that high. The healer for your level of pet is also kinda iffy. You are at a point where ECA/BoK/Rainbow SS/SSYT could all be used fairly effectively. ECA+GSheild/FTab is brutal to several sets as well. Whether or not you ever get tear is debatable. It would likely go in the slot that FTab would go in, but i'm not sure what you would want in your stealing slot, maby SoS, since GSheild practically full blocks it anyways? Too bad you can't use 9 weapons
