iDB Community Forum

You know, where nerds can talk about nerdy stuff, iDB is the ONLY forum I have ever been apart of or joined, and I was wondering what else some of our members post on.

I personally don't talk much on other forums, but if you get IRC there's a channel just for geeks...what kind of nerdy stuff are you referring to? computers, math, chess, neo-economics?

Umm, I dunno, I'm not that much of a "nerd", but we generally get along , I don't really do all that kinda stuff - Playstations, Anime, Graphics designing - but I find I enjoy talking to intelligent people for a change ^^

Yes, yes! IDB-IRC is good for you. As far as web forums, the xkcd webcomic forums are quite geeky...quite possibly more geeky than you had in mind.

Just go here: http://forums.finalhit.org/chat.php . If you get Unable to connect : java.net.SocketException : Software caused connection abort: connect then your connection probably has problems connecting to the default port. You could try using an IRC client like mIRC, then you could choose any port in the 6660-6669 range and at least one would probably work.

Do what he says. Using a client helps a lot, even if the forum goes down, you can access the IRC servers and stay in touch.
