Well... This was the first thing I made with CS3 (Got it last night)... Also my first attempt at a tech/mecha sig, but I was kind of impressed with how it came out personally (I expected it to be horrid).
Criticism?

I like the choice in border, it seems to suit your mecha sig style here very well. The blend of red and brown is very nice... and the sort of "system-board"-(whatever that's called) you have on there
My only complaint about the background is that the system-board overlaps onto the.. man-thing itself on the shoulder. It shouldn't reach into the shoulder. The other thing that bothered me about this sig is the thick black outline on Dag. If you want to have an outline.. at leat go for possibly a deep red-brown. The black stands out too much and looks out of place with the colour scheme you went for. The orangy colour of dag is a bit strange as well, but perhaps without the black it'll be okay. Basically I'm just trying to say that for the name you all of the sudden introduced two "new" colours into the sig so it looks mildly strange.

I like it, it is nicely developed, but been more critic (and maybe a bit helpful), i think that you should try a couple of thing, with this or any other new sig/img/whatever:
* Try not using straight borders, using .gif with reduced colors count will allow you to play with transparency.
* I like the idea, but maybe the colors could be nicers, i think it need more... life?
try the same with dif saturation in colors maybe.
* And last, i dont like typography
that G is weird

I almost picked a different font because of that, it kinda looks like an obscure T
and I'm actually honest when I say that I totally did not realize that pun until you two pointed it out

I like it a lot, the only think I dislike is your choice in font for "DAG", and the period in the front. Other than that, stellar.

Better.. but the text is still not perfect.. keep playing around and eventually you'll find something that just fits... and if you don't... there's a million and one websites out there with free fonts to dl
I personally like the colors, and I think the border is fine the way it is. However, I do agree with everyone else that the text doesn't fit in that well. It's better in the second version, though. Also, I think I would have preferred if you hadn't resized the robot to those proportions. (Unless they were like that to begin with), because I think it would have made a better signature if the focus was on the robot's head and shoulders more, this way, since the whole image is larger, it will take up some of that empty space... if you understood what I just said.
I like the background a lot, though.
