That's what I would say if I were to say it in one sentence^_^, well put vernaxeater
I never buy PBs to use them and I even labbed my very favourite MSPP so yeah, stats come first and then colour maybe another day.
I care enough that even at 705 HP, I'm still not using the lab ray because my pet is a nice faerie pteri. The other pet I just pulled into my account was painted faerie lenny to match my first pet lol
I did care about it. My pet will be back to Baby Nimmo (aka tadpole) one day as anyone who glances at my av or siggy and my UL and pet UL can tell I have a "small" obsession with them. However, after I hit 1k hp, I was like forget this its too expensive most times to train at ninja school and I'm still working on my set so negging isn't an option yet. So I'm forced to lab.
Once I get up to an undisclosed amt of hp, I'll stop and she'll go back to the tadpole she's supposed to be.
I've wasted 2 ffq's and 2 baby pb's in moments of fickleness that I decided I wanted the tadpole back then ended up labbing her again in the end.
I have four pets, two of which have been labbed regularly at some point. Obviously, I don't care about the colour/species of those two (I only stopped labbing one and switched to the other because my battle pet is currently at exactly 300 HP and level 150, but not yet at 300 strength). The one I'm currently labbing used to be a Christmas Grundo, and I was aiming for a Faerie p/b (Faerie Grundos used to look AMAZING). But then the Grundo got redrawn, and Faerie Grundos looked ugly, so I figured that labbing wouldn't hurt anything.
The other two, however, I do try to keep as visually appealing as possible. I turned one (then a Blue Cybunny) into a Disco Cybunny years ago when I found a Disco p/b for 3k (at the time, they were 30k). I loved the look back then, and I still do, so she's been that way ever since. The other was a Christmas Flotsam (courtesy of a Terror Mountain Random Event, I believe) for a few years, because Christmas was the colour I most preferred in a sane price range. And then I had the brilliant idea of testing a Mortog Serum on her...and she turned Green. Which was very depressing. But then, for my birthday, my brother gave me an Island p/b (he knew I liked Island Flotsams best, but that I just never wanted to waste the np), so I turned her Island, which she has thus far remained.
